The Lying Game

Prologue.

One word. Shit.

Just my luck. A flat tyre. I was already late and it was going to be dark soon. And well, let's just say being in the dark doesn't appeal to me. Especially when I'm stranded in the middle of no where, with the suns scorching heat glaring at my back.

I sit back in my ford and tie up my hair, looking at my face in the review mirror.

God, I'm a mess!

My hair was greasy from the 8 hour drive, my clothes were stained and there was dirt on my face from trying to change the tyre - I acciently wiped my hands on my face -  when I realized I had no spare.

I called the tow truck and told them my location that was just an hour away from Blackwood. I went back inside the car and turned on the air condition and the radio, waiting for them to come. 

Just as I was dozing off, i heard the horn of a truck. Getting out, I sighed with relief seeing that it was the twoing men with a car following behind them. I looked at my cell phone, realizing I slept for just over an hour.

"My boy can get your truck to the workshop, miss. But I should drop you off. It'll be dark soon, and I dont want to leave a young girl like you outside. " The man said getting out of the car. 

"Can you help with my luggage?" I asked.

The boy who was with him, no older then 16, helped me unloading it from my car and loading it into the mans.

 We drove for half an hour before we reached Blackwood.Telling him the address of my new home, he dropped me off there and told me to come by tomorrow since the work shop was closed and I didnt have a spare.

I stood in front of my house, inspecting it. It wasnt anything fancy. The neighbourhood was okay. It was a normal middle class house. Dragging my luggage i went inside, locking the door behind me. One can never be too sure. I dragged myself and my luggage upstairs to the master bedroom and crashed on the bed.

Flipping over on my bed, i stared at the the ceiling. There was only one thought repeating in my head as I slowly dozed off to sleep.
