zayn couldn't look away from liam as soon as he put his eyes on the younger, curly haired guy. it was in a library.

liam was studying for upcoming exams and zayn was there with a friend (zayn is definitely not the type to be at a library. he was basically forced to go that day) but zayn is glad his friend made him go, or else he would have never laid eyes on who he loves to call his boyfriend, liam payne.

liam was shy when they made eye contact, well.. more shy than he already was that is. he looks down as soon as they made eye contact, shifting in his seat uncomfortably. that made zayn smirk and make his way over, after quickly informing his friend, scotty, that he'd be back.

zayn pretended to be browsing for a book on the shelves behind liam, gazing behind him to see what liam was studying. it was physics. so the older lad decided to quickly think of a pick up line that would make liam all weak at the knees, that he'd think would be to him. "you would set to stunning if you were a laser."

liam jumped in his seat as he felt zayn's presence next to him and his words. zayn chuckled at his reaction and liam's face turned pink as he went over in his head what he heard the mysterious guy say to him.

(still to this day, zayn likes to use pick up lines to do with physics, as it reminds him on how they met. an example of this is, "you want to get together and test the spring potential of my mattress?" you could say it sure happened.)

"i hope that was alright, not too cringe. i'm not familiar with physics, so that was just the first thing i could think in my head." zayn smirked at the younger lad as he saw his rosy cheeks.

liam ended up shrugging after zayn's words and went back to 'studying'. studying being in quotation marks as he wanted to see what this guy's reaction would be to his little reaction about his pick up line. liam could tell he liked what was happening.

"i see, i see. playing hard to get.. i like it." zayn ended up whispering to liam as he got closer with his chair. before zayn could say anything else, he heard a "malik!" from scotty. zayn looked up and signalled he'd be there, then looking back at the unknown cute guy.

"well, it looks like i'll see you around. bye, jameel." and liam had no clue what the last word he said was, but he thought it sounded beautiful coming from this strangers mouth.

the next time they saw each other, was indeed the library again. this time, zayn wasn't forced to go. he wanted to purposely come to this same library a week after, to see if the cute curly haired male was going to be there. with just his luck, he was. looking wonderful as ever.

and like the first time, he said a pick up line to do with physics.

"did you swallow a magnet? because you're attractive." zayn got the same reaction. liam jumped in his spot, but smiled when seeing it was the 'malik' stranger from last time.

"ah, i get a smile this time." liam's cheeks go rosy and zayn couldn't help but to really admire the younger guy.

"not studying physics today?" liam shook his head and zayn was confused as to why he wasn't using his words. maybe he just left him speechless. 'i do have that effect on people', zayn thought to himself.

"do i get a name to match this pretty face?" zayn flirted and liam shrugged, cheeks going brighter by the second. "you can talk to me, i don't bite." zayn gave liam a big smile which makes him (liam) giggle.

all zayn got in return was liam ripping a piece of spare paper, jotting something down. then, liam slide the paper across to the handsome man, which had his name scrawled on it.
