coca-cola dribbled down my chin, blending with the taste of cigarettes on my tongue. we were sat upon your parents' roof, deep into the late hours of the night. nightingales hooted softly, and you smelled strongly of cologne. lust was lighting your coffee eyes, so they were visible under your thick, dark brow, even through and past midnight.
"i've missed you." you whispered.
your voice was deep and throaty, a heavy georgia accent bending your speech in the sweetest way. and your hands; they run along my slim curves, cherishing me like a gem. i smiled gently, and licked the fizzy drink from the corners of my mouth.
"i know."
you laughed, breathing life into me, lighting a fire in my ribcage. flowers sprouted from the flames, tumbled past my cherry lips and into the wind as a sigh. i watched the petals float away, slowly, slowly...
you took your cocoa-colored hand off of my waist and gripped my ivory one, pressing a kiss to the tips of each of my fingers. your lips felt exactly how i'd remembered them, even after lacking the feeling for so long. (a whole weekend!)
my lips became jealous of my hand, and they begged to be touched just as well. they tingled and stung, so that i had to sink my teeth into them, trying to cease the needy sensation.
it was almost as if you could hear them calling your name, because as you turned to me, you admired them. they were plump, and soft, covered in vanilla chapstick. you grinned, your crooked teeth, like pearls hiding in your gums, beaming at me. so instinctively did i grab the back of your head, and let you love me.
you were my equity, darling, for at least that sweet summer night.
