She still looks angry and then starts to yell at me (she has never yelled at me before, so I was shocked) "You should never have a bad image of yourself!"
"But ..." I'm trying cut her off, but Nora is unstoppable. "But nothing, I always listen to you, but now it's time for you to listen to me for once!" She is still yelling, but needs to stop to catch her breath. Before I can say something, she continues, "You need to stop thinking so bad about yourself! You are a super nice girl and have a super good character!"
Yes, now she's silent. I grab my chance to say something. "But I'm not popular, and not one of them," I say with tears in my eyes. Nora suddenly sees that I'm crying and I think she regrets yelling at me. "I'm sorry about the yelling, but what I said is true, you may not be popular, but Titus isn't either, he may be friends with them, but if you would look further than that you'd know that he doesn't belong there and often likes to sit alone when he has the time,"she says, but I see that she's not done talking yet and let her go on, "Go to the rehearsals of his band and give some compliments."
"Are you crazy?", I say, "For you it's easy, you can hang out with the popular people and you've dated Titus a few months ago. And I can't suddenly show up at the rehearsals of his band, he probably doesn't even know my name.
"Do whatever you want, but I would at least send him an email," Nora says we walk to the principal's office, to write in our diaries that we are too late. When we walk to our classroom we don't talk. We walk into the classroom and see the teacher looking angry. He says: "Late again, girls? It is about time for action." He looks in his presence booklet: "If you are late one more time you both will get detention. Now sit down and try to follow, it's only Monday and you're already late, this should certainly not become a habit ladies."
He looks harsh and points at our seats. I'm afraid Nora is going to be mad at me, because of me we have a chance to stay after class, she's always so exemplary as a student, so I will send a note to her. Ugh, where did I leave my papers? Aha, found it! Crumpled, but yeah, not my problem.
Hi Nora, I'm afraid you're mad at me because we might get detention, you've always been such a good student and your parents get really mad at you if you have detention. Do you forgive me? xx Katja.
I fold the paper and throw it at Nora who is a few desks away. Christina, who is a few banks away has seen it and raises her hand, I touch her arm and mime that if she says anything she's dead. She immediately does her arm back down after she raised her middle finger but I don't care. If they think you can belittle me she should wake up a lot earlier, and then it'll still be wasted time. Christina is part of Selena's popular group and tries to bully everyone, but when Selena isn't around, all members of the group are powerless and they really give up super easy. I really hate those vixens. So I'm watching what Nora's reaction is when she reads the note. She opens and reads it and then something unexpected happens, she starts laughing and immediately writes something back. She folds her note, sticks something on it and she throws it at me. The thing she sticked on it is a very small pendant in the shape of a football. Pretty cute, but what a girl needs a football pendant? The note says the following:
Hi Katja, of course I'm not mad at you. You're my best friend and you will be forever. The charm is Titus', I once got it when we were together and he said I had to give it to a person who is very dear to me when it was over between us. I hope you like it. Xx Nora. PS. I just saw Titus looking at you, you really have to take action. X Love you.
Ah, hence the football! Waah, from Titus! I am going to cherish this forever. I was so happy to read what Nora wrote me that I barely noticed that a note was thrown at me. Before I opened the note, I hung the Titus' charm on my key chain. The letter that I received was written in a font that I didn't know and there was no name on it, too bad I didn't see who threw it. I doubt reading, but to it anyways. It can't be that bad.
