Six months have passed since Scorpion 1.0 broke apart. Over the months Team Centipede was slowly rising up the ranks, and eventually they started working with Homeland too. While Centipede got a new contract with the government, Scorpion 2.0 lost it's own. Scorpion 2.0 lost it's contract the day Centipede stole it away from them. If that wasn't enough, the garage also had to be sold. After losing it's government contract, Scorpion 2.0 hasn't been able to earn much money aside from little jobs here and there. The team that Walter has worked years to create finally was destroyed, and there was no going back. Or, so he thought.

Cabe sighed as he was looking at the
new "Centipede" building. He wasn't sure if what he was about to do was going to work, but he dared to try. Scorpion wasn't supposed to end like this.

When he walked into the building
he had to admit that he was impressed. The new Centipede building was a step up from the garage. The walls were painted a platinum white and the room had modern decor that gave the room a polished touch. He had no doubt that the liaison was involved in decorating the new team quarters. It only took a second for someone to notice him.

"Cabe? What are you doing here?"
Paige asked.

"I need to talk to you. All of you," he
said while looking around at his former co-workers,"I've waited long enough for all of you guys to cool down. It's time we finally talk about what happened that night."

"We're not talking about this Cabe,"
Paige replied. Cabe looked around. It looked like no one wanted to talk to him. Well, the hell with it. He came with a purpose and that was to reunite Scorpion. He wasn't going to leave until he got his point across.

"Fine. Don't talk then. But I have
something important to say. You guys better listen."

Once Cabe was sure everyone was paying attention he said what he needed to say.

"Now I know that all of you are mad at Walter right now. You all had a right to be. The way things were handled that night, though, was childish and you all overreacted. You wouldn't believe how upset Walter has been about how things played out."

"Yeah right," Toby interrupted.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he was
dating Florence by now," Paige mumbled to herself. Cabe heard her anyway.

"That's not true. In fact, Florence
asked Walter if he wanted to date her and he said no. She ended up leaving Scorpion 2.0 and getting a job elsewhere as a biochemistry professor at Caltech." Paige rolled her eyes in response. "Listen to you guys. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. All of you guys were harsh and abandoned Walter all in one night. He may make mistakes, but he had no ill intentions. Think about what he did for all of you." He looked to Paige. "Paige, Walter has helped you connect with your son and gave you more security in life. Sly, he saved you when you couldn't save yourself. Toby, Walter helped you pay off some of your debts and helped you with your addiction to gambling. And Happy, Water provided you a real family. He provided a family for all of you. You owe it all to him to come back to Scorpion."

"And the truth comes out," Toby
muttered angrily,"You only came here to lure us back to Scorpion."

"Seriously? I thought you guys were
better than this. Walter may screw up, but it's only because he is making an effort to change. When you try to change you are ought to make mistakes. Every time he makes one you guys always put all the blame on him. There is plenty of blame to go around."

"Cabe's right," Sly interjects,"We all
handled that night badly. Walter has done a lot for all of us and we shouldn't have even left in the first place."

"Ditto," Happy  agreed. Everyone was on board to going back with Scorpion except for one person: Paige.

"Cabe you have valid reasons, but I
can not step foot back in that garage. I just can't," Paige said.

Cabe softened his voice. "I know that
he hurt you kid. But think about how Ralph feels about all of this. Walter has been a great father figure for your son and you can't deny it. If you can't come back to Scorpion for yourself then at least do it for your son."

"Okay," Paige agreed with tears in her eyes,"I'll come back. But, only because I love my son and I don't want him to suffer from my personal decisions."

"Okay then, so it's settled. I hope to
see you all soon." Cabe left with a slight nod to his head and headed back to the garage.

When Cabe walked into the garage,
he didn't spot Walter. He assumed he was up in the loft, so he called up to him. There was no answer. Cabe decided to go up to the loft to see where the hell he was. He found Walter at his desk muttering to himself while typing away on his laptop. Walter talking to himself was not a good sign.

"Hey Walter? Walter?!" Cabe called.
Cabe was dismayed to see that Walter had gone down the rabbit hole again. It broke his heart seeing Walter like this. Scorpion was the most important thing to Walter and he lost it in all but five minutes. Cabe shook his shoulders.

"C-Cabe?" Walter said.

"Hey," he replied.

"How long was I down this time?"

"I have no idea." Cabe sighed. "I was out on an errand so I don't know exactly when you went under."

"I'm sorry. Just . . . .thank you for everything."

Cabe nodded in acknowledgment. He knew what Walter had meant. Over these past few months Walter has been a wreck. Not only did he lose his company, but he also lost his friends and the love of his life. Walter has constantly been absorbing himself in his work to escape from his emotions, going down the rabbit hole along the way. Cabe was always there for him to get him to snap out of it. Cabe just hoped that everything would get better. After this morning, he had hope.
