Chapter 1

It was a normal day in Megam. Cloudy, and crime-filled, when an asteroid hit. Some crimes dropped, but other burglars and thieves took advantage of everyone being gone.

Derek, a fourteen year old resident, witnessed the event via computer. He pushed his glasses up his nose. This asteroid was nerve- wracking. It was approximately fifteen feet wide and twenty feet tall, He ran his fingers through his dark hair. He had olive skin, with freckles. His father was responsible for the two former of his appearance. His father had run off with some other lady when he was six. His mother was a red-head, timid lady. How she'd gotten to marry the town's bad boy (although, living in Megam supplied quite a few of them,) was a mystery even to her. But Derek would like you to stop thinking about that and focus on this asteroid. It was a strange mystery. No warnings at all, just poof! out of the sky. He glanced at the clock. He got up and started packing. He'd go inspect the site tonight.

Meanwhile, Galy was in her room. She had orange hair with small waves. Her hair was long, gorgeous, and thick, but she could still pass for a guy... because on the true outside, she was one. You see, dear reader, Galy was a transgender. She'd always been ridiculed and taunted. Today hadn't been any better. She'd never let it show, not even at home, but every night, she'd go out and cry in the out-skirts of town. 'Tonight', she thought, 'will just be one of those nights.'

Fourteen-year-old Deborah was fixing a crisis. Her ten-year-old sister, Alex, had lost her homework. Again. (Third time this week!-) Deborah studied the room, and brought forth the missing homework. "Thank You Debby!" said her other little sister, Lucy, who liked to be called Juicy, (five years of age), using Deborah's hated nickname. I need a break. Deborah thought after cringing at the atrocious nickname. Hmmmm... a night on the town out-skirts. Her siblings certainly wouldn't be able to find her there...

Chlera was at her desk, following a developing story. An asteroid hat hit.... Hmmmmmm. She was fourteen with auburn curls. Maybe Deborah would go investigate it. She usually was on top of it all. Deborah had nice, big, curly hair, with dark skin to match. Derek would probably look at her  more than Chler- Stop it! She silently willed herself Derek is only an interest, a strange one, of course, but just. An. Interest. So Imagine, just Imagine, her surprise when a second later her phone dinged;

Derek_420: Did you hear about the asteroid?

Chlera708: Yes, I did!

Derek_420:  I'm going to investigate. r u?

Chlera708: I don't know yet...

Derek_420: Try to! It'll be worth your while!

Oh, she would. Tonight, she would strike.

Fourteen-year-old Gregory was at the mall with his girlfriend, Cara. It was the classic set-up; a jock, with a popular girl. "How does this look?" Cara asked again. "Great!" said Greg, who in truth didn't understand a) where Cara got all this money from and b) why he should honestly care. Greg was big, hulking, and blonde. Suddenly, he had an idea. Now, as you know, my wonderful reader, teenagers tend to think that it's now or never, and that if you don't date them now, marry them now, that you'll have upset destiny, and flah-se-dah. (this is coming from one of their kind, trust me.) Even I am not sure as to Greg's intentions when he proposed a midnight date in the outskirts of town. But I do know it changed both of their lives forever- for better, and of course, -for worse.
