Derek inspected his own suit. It was purple, with a large golden 'T' on the chest. It had long, dark purple boots, (which he supposed, matched with the mask.) It looked like a cheap store-bought suit, but it wasn't like he had time to complain.
"These suits are made for each of you. As you improve in your power usage, so will your suits." Avitaira explained hastily. "Just press the chest of your suit, and it'll transport itself to your body. Hurry!"
Deborah walked up to her outfit. It was an exact replica of Derek's but blue, and with a golden 'E' on the front instead. She hesitantly tapped the chest of her outfit, and her red flannel she was wearing was replaced with the plastic-y suit. Her clothes were left neatly on the mannequin.
She looked around to everyone else to find they all had had similar experiences: Chlera's hoodie and jeans were place neatly in place of her pink suit, which was on her now. She had a giant golden 'M' on her chest. Greg had a lemon yellow suit with a blue 'S' on his chest. Deborah grimaced. She hoped to God that these suits would get better.
"Well, where is Galy?" Deborah asked, her eyebrows raised. "And how are we going to get there?"
Avitaira flipped another switch, and the wall with their clothes and Galy's suit rolled up, only to roll down again to reveal a large garage. Inside was a bright yellow motorcycle, a purple helicopter, a pink car, and a blue...bike.
"Um, what-"
"She's at the power plant. Go, go, go!"
Chlera hopped into her car, Derek climbed into the helicopter, and Greg swung his leg over onto the motorcycle, and Deborah stood next to her bike, putting on her helmet. They felt the ground shift beneath them, and they went shooting upwards.
Galy was finally un-blindfolded. "Where am I?" she spat.
"Child, honey." said the voice from before. They had this way of speaking that felt like honey, slowly dripping onto everything else. (Well, if honey was mixed with gravel, that is.)
The voice's source-a woman,-came into Galy's view. She had waist-length hair in dredlocks that looked like coal. Her skin could have once been a pleasant chocolate brown, but it had been covered in ash. She had huge hips, and a heavy step.
"Honey, all we want is just a little bit of information, then we'll be sending you on your way." the woman said, her hips swaying. "We just want to know if you know a girl by the name of, ohhh, I don't know..." her eyes gleamed. "Avitaira."
Deborah's bike, as she was quickly finding out, could, in fact, break quite a few speeding laws. Seriously, what kind of 'perks' did Avitaira put on this thing!
She barely touched the pedal, and it would rocket forward several feet. She got to the powerplant nearly a full minute before everyone else. She surveyed Megam's city power plant, and nearly choked as the closet building started to drastically expand, like a balloon trying to escape from captivity.
"Never," was Galy's response. "I'll never tell you where she is!" The woman frowned.
"Say that again, young lady?" The woman seemed in disbelief, like she hadn't accounted for this part of the plan to go differently.
"I said, I'll never tell you!" Galy barked at her.
"Come closer, darling, and say that again." The woman said, a smile growing. Her teeth were coal-colored. "I want to hear you say that one last time before I kill you." Her teeth were glowing like hot coals.
