CH 1:The rise of the sin of greed

Thunderstorms were heard throughout the kingdom ,everyone was scared it was as if the world was going to end .Darkness overshadowed the whole kingdom no one knew what it was exactly some thought those were the signs of the end

Magicians and astronomers were called by the king to decipher the great omen which had befall upon the Kingdom .

The kingdom of Ashery was a great and powerful kingdom which was fear by all other surrounding kingdoms its glory and wealthy was revered ,many term it Eldorado the city of gold. The former kings of Ashery ruled the kingdom with love and with justice but as the kings change social injustice increased as greedy kings sat on the throne. Amongst the seven deadly sins the sin of greed had overtaken the kingdom.

Many believed it was a story used to scare off kids so that they will not be greedy and share their toys and food with others but in actual fact it was a demon sealed a long time ago .

"Satra call all the magicians here " said King Bors ,calling his servant whilst shivering ,the great omen reduced the king to an infant. The great and fearlessly king of Ashery was traumatized by the events

It did not take long for the royal magicians to come and give council to the great King

"Tell me why my kingdom upsidedown who made it this way ,this is my kingdom mine and mine alone " said the King with a voice mixed with rage and fear

"My king we are still in awe we don't know what's going on please don't be angry we will do everything within our power to lift up  the curse ..." Before he could finish saying what he was saying the king interrupted him and said "curse! Curse ! what curse did u inserted the curse huh "

The royal council was in shambles the magicians were pointing fingers at each blaming each other for the misfortune which had befall the great kingdom

Footsteps were heard throughout the throne room  and this brought a dead silence every eyes were facing the door curiosity surely kills a cat everyone was eager to know who was walking with such a loud footsteps

A wiry old man who had long white hair a long beard appeared in front of the king and said " so you thought you could prevent the rise of the sin of greed when you are actually greedy yourself huh great king Bors!"

These words were spoken without fear  as if the man had power over both the king and his royal council. The king was caught off guard by the words of this old ,it took him an hour or so for him to regain his composure .No one expected him to come or even utter such vile words towards someone of a higher a status like the king

"How dare you utter such words to our king huh how dare you..." Before he could finish what he was saying the old man lifted up his staff and the room shook and everyone was scared

"All great sage have mercy on us we are all but infants who wants to suck on your breast of vast knowledge" the king pleaded with the old man because he knew he was no match for him neither his mage had the power to do so " help us almighty sage what has befall our home who dares invade our paradise " continued the king with a meek voice

A chair was bought for the sage so that he could sit and say what he wanted to say and help the people and their king  you could hear a lot of hissing as the royal mages were asking themselves rhetorical questions that is who the old man was and how come he calmed the king

The old man started by telling the king a story about his ancestors and the reason why the curse befall the kingdom

"They was once a great king called Zalla whose fame exceeded any king in the world ,the great king was very greedy he would kill anyone if he wants something"

He became quiet  for a while as if he was pondering about something important and then he said"One day the king was ill ,magician did all they can to help him but death was at his doorstep ,before he take his last breath a man wearing black clothes appeared and he said' lets make a deal"

Everyone was surprised even king Bors wanted to know who was the man in black ,the sage coughed for a while and then he continued, because king Zalla was a greed man he wanted everything the world has to offer so he did not think about the deal or even ask what it the man wanted all he said was  "If its beneficial to me I will do it"

With these words strength was restored to him as well as his youth everyone was amazed by this even the great wizard king of the north could not do this so the question remains who was this man

"Now I have restored your youth and I have given u immortality you are now my first sin ,the sin of greed " said the man in black

Suddenly the sky was clear and thunderstorms calmed and everyone thought it was now safe so they started talking about the recent events which took place

"So where is this king " asked king Zalla with a face showing that he was bored by this man since his kingdom was safe

"Zalla was sealed,the son of Zalla sacrificed himself and his bloodline to the curse of Zalla the greed, he used his life and the life of his descendants as a seal to seal Zalla, you king Bors you are also a seal to Zalla's prison unfortunately you became corrupt and a king should rule without corruption hence the seal has been broken " said the old man walking towards the door

In a village which was a few miles away from this kingdom's capital a crater was formed and the whole village was swallowed. A man came out of this crater and he yawned and looked at the sun and said " the time is ripe it's time for his return" and started to walk towards the capital

The first sin was unleashed because of the king of Ashery's greed hence darkness was encroaching to the world.
