River's POV
"I'm Mavis. Just keep your eyes open and looking at Jason," the girl said. I nodded but then everything went black.
Nightmare Thing
A Hell Hound jumped on my bad making it sit hat I couldn't move. I looked around and it looked like we where in Tartarus. When I say 'we' I mean Crystie, Jason, Nico, and I. These skeleton dude took Jason and Nico away. I was still being pushed down by the Hell Hound and a few skeletons strapped Crystie to a wooden pole. Another skeleton brought out another Hell Hound and let it go. It went straight to Crystie.
End of Nightmare Thing
I woke up with a start.
Jason's POV
She's gone. Dead. I was to late.
"She's..... gone...." I said.
"I'm sorry.... I should've been quicker," Mavis said. I was about to reply when River took a huge breath and started coughing.
"River!" I yelled. I hugged her. When I came out of the hug she had a shocked look mixed with fear and pain in her eyes.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Well, you died and then came back some how," I answered. She tried to stand up but failed as the pain must have been to much.
"Relax. You're ok. Just stay down until you guys have to leave," Mavis said.
"Which is now," BB said. He was looking out the door. I ran over next to him. This girl with blond hair started to retreat. I ran back over to River.
"Mavis want to help?" I asked. She nodded and walked over to the other side of River. I put River's arm around my shoulders and Mavis did the same on the other side. We started to help her up she grunted in pain. When we finally got her up and was limp in our arms. She must be so weak. Mavis and I started to bring her outside with Beast Boy ran over to the others.
