Guess who's birthday is today?! ME!! I've never been so excited for my birthday!! Today's the day I turn 19 years old! In case you don't know me, my name is Victoria Herrera. Call me Tori for short ;). My parents are both from Dominican Republic but I was born here in the Bronx. I was getting dressed to go out cause my best friend, Rose, was taking me out to dinner.
-KNOCK KNOCK-
When I went to go open the door, Rose was there with her arms wide open.
"Happy birthday bestie!!!!! You're almost legal!!! "
"Hahaha very funny thanks girl! Come on in! Mi casa es tu casa!"
We both laughed and Rose had something behind her back…. Hmm…
"Rose, what's that behind her back?"
"Oh nothing special. Just your birthday gift!! "
She had this incredibly adorable pink gift bag with the words 'Love Ya!!'
"OMG! Rose you didn't have to! The dinner was going to be enough!"
"Tori come on, you're my bestest friend! It's the least I could do! "
I gave her a big bear hug. I don't know what I would do without her! She's been there with throughout all the stuff I've been through in my life. My parents both passed away a couple years ago, I haven't seen my older brother since I was 7, and I've been living alone ever since I moved out of my grandma's house. Bit one thing has always kept me up and living. Ad I always say it to myself when I'm going through something rough: LIVE LIFE SMILING. In case Yes, I understand didn't know, my #1 idol is Prince Royce! Yes, the sexiest bachatero! I love him so much! My dream is to one day meet him and tell him all about my story and how he inspires me with his songs…. A girl can dream…
