"Noah" I called out his name, "yeah?" He replied. "Do you play soccer?" I asked him. "Yeah! I am in a soccer team actually." He jumped happily. "Same, but not in an actual soccer team" I stuttered at the end. "Why not its fun!" He worriedly asked, "I heard, my dad doesn't want me on the soccer team, he thinks I'm too good at mathematics and reading to play sports." I replied scratching the back of my neck. "are you really that good?" Noah asked, it sounded inappropriate.
"I think so?" I questioned. "Oh really?" He challenged. "Sure?" I confusedly agreed. "What's 999 x 5673 divided by 23 and added by 13?" He asked. "246,392.5217391304" I sighed. He calculated that on his phone and I was right. "HOW?" He asked. "Studying helps it." I sighed. "Wow,, What about reading?" He asked. "ok" I rolled my eyes. "If a kangaroo had 3 apples and its 3 babies wanted all of them, and she splits them in half.. how many does she have?" Noah asked. "1 whole and a half". "Oh so you pay attention." He teased.
"Sure," I faked assured him. "sorry Hiatus." I bumped into Tyler which was getting something from his locker. "It's fine Tyler." I smiled. "I'm still looking for my dear old 'hiatus'" Tyler joked. I gave out a serious face. "I'm just kidding." He laughed. I still looked at him serious. "Why won't you look at the time I should get going to class" he grabbed his stuff in a hurry, "Hey! Class starts in 2 minutes! Are you sure you wanna go early?" I yelled questioning him. "Yeah!" He replied. "Ok whatever" I shoved it off and I could see Noah trying to hold his laughs. "What's so funny?" I asked. "nothing" he stuttered. "Sure nothing" I sighed.
"Why don't you laugh but just smile?" He asked. "Is that a problem?" I defensively asked. "No, I thought it was just.. I don't know weird?" He stuttered. "oh sorry" I coughed. "I hope that didn't sound like an offensive sentence." He apologized. "It's fine" i awkwardly sighed.
"Move aside losers!" The most popular girl 'ellie'. I accidentally bumped into Ellie. Purposely. "Loser watch where you're going" Ellie offensively talked to me. "Is loser all you can say? Seems like you're the loser acting pathetically arrogant" I defended myself. Everyone 'ooooed'
"Shut up you're just je-" I purposely interrupted. "Jealous? Obviously I would never be jealous of you" I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, you're trying to be with everyone!" She lied. "Sure, like if you had that one line of football boys waiting to get with your shitty shameless slutty self." I left making her have mouth open.
Noah was laughing so hard at her reaction. I just stared at him. "Oh my god! Sister snapped!!" Noah laughed. "ok" I grabbed his hand making him go to a vending machine. "Want a snack?" I asked him hoping he doesn't do some of those porny jokes. "I'm the whole snack" Noah said. I hate that "shut up" I got a Hershey bar. "Can we share?" He asked. "Sure" I gave him a part from my chocolate. I saw Alex running to the bathroom crying.
"Hey Alex?" I knocked. "What happened?" Noah asked. "She's crying" I replied to Noah's question. "James cheated!" She sobbed. "What class?" I asked. "Science." She replied. I grabbed Noah's hand I felt him blush.
