"I hate to steamroll your dreams mate, but this seems like it may be a bit excessive."
"What do you mean excessive? He's going to love it!"
"Ni, you know I love you but-"
"No! He's gonna love it so much and appreciate all of my hard work."
"But Niall- It's a club, not a stadium."
"Same thing! A little poster won't hurt anybody."
"Niall, a little poster. Not his entire face."
Louis and Liam were referring to, of course, the gigantic picture of Harry's face, blown up and taped to a poster board which Niall had just casually lugged into the living room.
"This is how I finally can get him to notice me." Niall sighed, looking down at the poster with nothing but pure admiration.
After seeing In-Debt's first performance, Niall was hooked. Harry had captured his attention so suddenly, it just felt too right.
Even though Harry still had not the faintest idea that he even existed.
Niall had not missed a show, going out of his way every time he saw a new performance scheduled on the band's twitter account.
Yes, he was following the official In-Debt twitter page. As well as each individual member's private accounts. It took him nearly four hours of internet stalking in order to find Harry's, but it was incredibly worth it.
How else would Niall have gotten such an amazing picture as his home screen background?
His obsession narrowly concerned Louis, but nearly consumed Liam. He didn't want to see Niall's heart get broken. He knew all to well what it felt like to be with someone in a band. In fact, he knew it better than just about anyone else. He might have been the biggest advocate as to why Niall should steer clear of band members.
Niall looked up from his poster and sighed, knowing that his hard work was going to have to go to waste. The looks he received from his mates was enough to tell him that he would not have a ride if he chose to bring the poster along.
And his need to see Harry far exceeded his need to impress him.

By now, going to Harry's performances fell into a system for Niall.
His pattern always began with him milling around, acting as if his heart was beating so loud he could feel it in his ears.
He started his rounds at the bar, where he promptly took a few shots (however many he could sneak past Liam), and then continued on to the floor. There he would mindlessly dance along to whatever song was playing, all the while paying close attention to the lights.
When the lights went out, it was his time to shine.
As soon as darkness flooded the room, he would do whatever it took to work his way to the front of the stage. This typically didn't take too much effort, because usually the crowd was much more focused on wondering why the room was suddenly so dark to worry about a small blonde boy squeezing past.
From his spot at the front, usually slightly to the right as Niall knew Harry liked to favor his left side, he had the perfect view of Harry. However, Harry always seemed to skim right past him when looking into the audience.
Now, he, Liam, and Louis made their way on to the crowded dance floor of Vantage, a new venue which In-Debt had yet to play at. Niall could tell that word was getting around about the band because this place was far more packed than any of the other places they'd played at before. This could only have been their sixth performance, but with the amount of talent, Niall knew soon they'd be selling out stadiums.
