🌞🌞🌞🌞

You're on top of your roof.

It's the end of summer and the weather was perfect.

You two had been doing it for a while now, going up there to escape your parents and his,
staying there for hours at a time until the sun set and the stars rose.

A couple of blankets were scattered around you two as you laid on the soft, plush pillows you had brought out from your mothers room.

If she would've known you had them up there, she would've freaked.

The sun was beginning to set, hiding behind the large mountains that were behind your backyard, leaving nothing but a swirl of faint colors in the sky.

He had his guitar up there and was quietly playing a song on it. It was so quiet you could barely hear it.

The quiet strumming was so familiar though that you had no choice but to smile.

You stared at his brown, shaggy hair and laughed a little. You were always telling him how he reminded you of Nick Robinson.

Every time you'd tell him, he'd always shake his head and chuckle at you, telling you that you were crazy.

It was so hard not to be in love with a boy like him. A boy who you didn't have to do anything with to have fun.

A boy who made you laugh and smile.

A boy who made you feel like you were the only thing that mattered.

Who made you happy.

All summer you two had spent together was full of days in your room reading your favorite books and listening to him sing to you.

It was the best summer you had ever experienced.

As you were engulfed in your thoughts, you hadn't realized that he stopped playing and was now looking at you, a look on his face.

'What is it?' You asked him.

He gave you a sly smile and leaned on you, placing his head on your legs.

'I just don't want to go home yet.' He said to you as you brushed your fingers through his hair and smiled down at him.

'Then don't.'

You leant down to kiss his warm, soft lips before parting and making him sit up.

'Play me a song?' You asked him as he gave you a tender smile.

'Of course.'

'And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now'
