The Perfomance

(Christians POV)

I hand the woman my card. 7 pictures of my beautiful girl - but she's not mine. Will she come? She has to come. After all José probably begged her.
"The pictures will arrive Thursday Sir"
"Okay thanks"

I immediately hear that worms voice. He calls Ana's name. What's going on? I spot her in the light. I'm speechless, god that woman takes my breath away. But what is she on the stage for? And she's wearing a skimpy outfit! In front of all these people! I didn't know shes become so brazen.

She starts singing and dancing to a mashup of vogue and I'm every woman. I didn't know she could sing so well. She's really good - not good she's excellent, amazing, out of this world!
She looks like she's enjoying herself - without me. I want to push these feelings aside but I can't. She's happy even though I hurt her. 

The performance finishes and she poses like the princess she is. She's so cute but she's a cute princess who doesn't want me.

(Ana's POV)

"We killed it guys! Thanks so much!"
"Anytime Ana" says Scott
We all get changed and the rest of the crew go home.
"Ana, I can't thank you enough" says José
"I enjoyed it." I reply
"Excuse me" an unfamiliar voice calls
"Yes?" Says José
"The girl, I would like to speak to you"
"Me?" I say. Oh no what have I done now?
"Yes."
"Okay José will you excuse us for a moment"

"Hi, I don't know if you remember me but I'm Jason Robert Brown. I used to teach you how to do belts and whistle tones"

"Omg yes! I remember you!"
"What are you doing here?" I ask
"My wife wants new pictures for our house back in LA. I'm here for rehearsals at this big theatre house. You should come"

"I'd love to but I don't know. Maybe we should catch up another time. I'm really tired."

"Before you go! Here's my number.... and my opinion: I think you should be an artist. I always told you your vocals were unreal but you just won't believe in yourself."

"Jason...."

"No Ana. Think about all the people you could entertain, make happy and meet. Look I know the label republic records if I just show them this demo you could be a superstar!"

"But what if people hate me and what if I get into fights..... it's scandalous!"

"Your manager will have you covered. I mean you have your voice, the looks, choreographers all you need is a band, a manager and fans."

"Do you think I could do it?"

"Of course. You'd make millions! Go and see them tomorrow. I'll pick you up and I'm sure they will sign you up"

"But what about my normal job at S.I.P?"

"Leave that. Tell them you're ill."

"Okay. Goodnight Jason. And thanks again."

"Your welcome"

"Ana!" Shouts José
"What?"
"You did amazing. I'd love to take you out to dinner as a thank you"
"José, times getting on and I just want to get home"
"Of course, of course. Would you sing again tomorrow night?"
"You have to be kidding. I can't be doing this all the time"
"I know but the manager of this place has told me I can have my photos stay another night if you'll sing"
"And I get double?"
".... I don't know about that"
"Well then I won't be coming and besides you'll loose all your customers. So it's up to you"
"Okay fine then"
"Great, see you at 6:30"
"Oh Ana do you need a lift home?"
"No I'm fine. Thanks though"

And with that I walk out the door. I want to cry a little as I'm still thinking about Christian. But I can't let him get in the way of my career. Tomorrow is going to be great! I'm on my way to my OWN success.....
