"I don't wanna mooooooove!" I cried out. It's the summer before my senior year, the summer I've been looking forward to for years, the summer full of chances, possibilities, and fun with friends. But now everything is ruined.
I feel my earbuds being yanked out, I turn and face Hunter, "WHAT!?!?" I shout at him. "Your music is too loud and crappy." I ball my fists and and unball my fists to control my anger and just as I'm about to question what is so 'crappy' about my music, my mom interupts, exclaiming, "We're here!"...I mumble in reply "And I hate it." I put my earphones back in and get out of the car. My dad approaches me, " C'mon Hazel give it a month and then tell me if you still hate it... if you still hate it, I'll consider trying to arrange a way for you to stay back in Castlebury with your aunt for your senior year." Ok, I think to myself, one month can't be too bad, maybe I can find a new hobby or something else to keep me occupied. This shouldn't be too bad... right?
"See I knew you weren't as awful as I thought." I whisper under my breath. Sadly my dad heard and raised his right eyebrow. As we started bringing our belongings into our new house, I saw a guy, probably around my age approaching me, probably a neighbor. He approaches me and waves, "Hi, I'm Ethan, I guess you're my new neighbor?", I reply " Haha... yea, I guess so", I smile, trying not to seem like a totally irritated and uninterested bitch, "my name is Hazel but, you're probably more interested in my brother, Hunter."
He just kinda does this half smile and I expect him to walk away but instead he ends up grabbing something from the truck, totally catching me by surprise. I took the moment to really take him in, I noticed he's actually pretty cute, maybe even hot, if he tried. "Thanks," I say as we're walking towards the house. He replies, "No problem, nothing better to do, to be honest kinda glad somebody my age moved in next door. How old is your brother anyway?" I reply, " oh, we're twins, both 17." He replies, " well, I guess this could be a fun summer," he says with this smirk that I can't really explain, I guess a little mischievous, and follows with a wink. Mischievous, definitely mischievous. We put the stuff down and I sigh, as he walks away, back home, saying something about plans and my brother and I coming by later. But, I had been too engrossed in seeing the inside of the new house... it was beautiful. "Can't be so bad," I find myself thinking again.
I walk upstairs to pick a room for myself, noticing my brother had already taken the nicest, I sigh in defeat and take the room at the end of the hall. In all honesty this room wasn't awful, it had a balcony so that's a plus, the bathroom was beautiful and had a jacuzzi in the bathroom, I'll make this work.
