Forgive me good King for I have failed you
The hour has come and here I stand while you are fallen
What shame!
All your hopes for this world.
All your kindness
All the good men and women that believed in you
All the love and faith you had in me especially yet here we aret
In the final hour none of us could save you my humble king

Do you know my king, do you feel it even now?
As I look at the tatters of your heart, your blood spilled for my sake,
Oh how it siphons all the breath from my soul!
I see the mountains and forests and oceans of your kingdom yet they lack all color
Still, dry, cold not alive like they should be but frozen in time
I should be happy for my life but my joy feels more like guilt.
How can I be happy, how I do even dare to live at all knowing I've lost you,
I've lost you my humble king.

But rest be assured your life was not in vain.
Oh king, your people have fallen but your daughter still lives!
Beautiful and radiant as the day you formed her she only grows in delight.
Your legacy is not a waste because your law and compassion is perfected in her
I know she has tasted a fruit beyond all treasure because of your will.
And your arms have taken hold of me, secured me step.
Your words came in a strong wind that blew me on the path to the victory before me.
Like a friend, even a beloved son you have developed me all these years
So don't be afraid for I will carry on the mission of your heart until as if it were my own.
I will not tarry, I will not falter in doing your will until I see you again my humble king.
