1 | Opening The Door To Chaos

The nine weren't really the type to wake up early in the morning but within the few weeks before their grand opening, they managed to train their bodies to be used to the cold morning air. The conclusion of setting an ambulance siren did come with excellent results—if one were to exclude the fact that Justin ran around the house screaming in fear that the house would actually be on fire every few days.

But all in all, they were all content on finally able be the morning type which only left them to clean up their beds right after waking up. As usual, Justin had a bit of a hard time to bring himself to automatically clean his bed, but Yanjun proved to be going through a much greater difficulty to do it.

Zhangjing, long finished with his bed, went to the kitchen while brushing his teeth. Toothbrush hanging out of his mouth, he reached for the hot cross buns on the table and took a piece. Not able to tie the plastic back, Ziyi had already reached the buns and took one for himself before handing it to Linong. Zhangjing shrugged his shoulders and headed back to see that Yanjun wasn't even making any progress.

Shaking his head, Zhangjing continued to brush his teeth slowly and headed to Yanjun. Yanjun looked up to the older with drowsy eyes and legs tangled in his blanket. Brushing with more force, Zhangjing shoved the bun into Yanjun's mouth and headed to the bathroom.

"I haven't even brushed my teeth!" Yanjun screamed with his mouth full and his face giving out a disgusted expression as he felt the discomfort of eating with last night's saliva. "Then you should have cleaned up faster," Xiao Gui spoke, already dressed up and grooving slightly to the music he started to play.

"Just go to the shop first," Yanjun spoke while throwing a pillow to Xiao Gui, "You could get a few things done instead of wasting time here." Xiao Gui simply rolled his eyes but Zhengting spoke up, encouraging the waiting lad to head out first.

"That would be a shocker cause he still doesn't remember the way there after weeks of going back and forth," Chengcheng butted in, only to cause Xiao Gui's stare to move from Yanjun to him.

"What, I'm only stating the obvious," Chengcheng continued all the while combing his hair. Xiao Gui sighed and dropped into Chengcheng's made up bed and as the owner screamed while threating the criminal for ruining his perfect work with a comb, Xukun broke the fight while wearing his cap, "There there, I'm already done. Let's go."

Still staring at Chengcheng, Xiao Gui hugged his precious speaker and followed Xukun out the house and towards the shop. It was hard for the two to do all the necessary work and the others only arrived after Xukun constantly called them and have Xiao Gui scream through the phone.

"I guess we're all set to open?" Zhengting asked as he scanned the shop to only find all of them doing everything except for their assigned tasks.

Zhangjing was, not to anyone's shock, was eating the crumbs of cookies. "In my defence, I am cleaning up," the foodie defended himself as eyes fell on him and sighs pointed out to his way.

Yanjun, on the other hand, was busily clogging up his phone with selfies around the shop. "What? I'll upload these only and people would for sure come because the decor is perfect for selfies!" Yanjun mustered while imitating the others under his breath.

In the corner, Ziyi was trying to be creative—at the worst of time. He had been writing B O O G I E as the frame for their menu on the board. He even spoke, "This is cool bro," while actually writing it down on the board—in a, thankfully, size 7 font.

Xukun might be the one closest to actually doing their job except that he was drinking the beverage instead of placing it aside to serve as samples. "I have to taste what I've made to know if it's good or not," he sighed and glared when someone mentioned that he's been making drinks for months now which makes tasting unnecessary.

Xiao Gui was putting out a show from the second floor as if he was like Rapunzel or something. "Got to make it more lively up here ya know?" he said as he fell out of view and continued his karaoke session.

Chengcheng was still trying to figure out how the computer works and keeps on accidentally open up the cash tray. "Why do you keep on opening, you don't even have much money yet!" Chengcheng's fight with the cashier continued before Ziyi finally stopped his drawing to help out.

Linong helped out to sort the remaining decor but was placing it all in the wrong places. "No one actually bothered to tag them or something, not my fault for making it all wrong..." Linong's whimper ended as Xukun finally stopped his taste testing to help.

Justin. Zhengting hasn't placed any high expectations for the boy since the start. Justin, just as Zhengting imagined, was doing an embarrassing performance of lip-syncing with the soft music playing in the background... with a mop. Not to mention, the water from the mop wasn't squeezed properly.

"Justin, quit messing around. You're just creating more work if you do it that way," Zhengting sighed as he tightened his apron. Walking up to Justin, he took the mop away from the youngest's hands and cleaned up after Justin.

"Just go wait by the door," Zhengting ordered Justin and he did exactly what he was told.

Looking out the glass wall of the front of the shop, Justin could see the build-up of people and despite his childish side growing up at the sight of dogs coming out for walks, he was extremely excited to officially work as a barista.

His daydream came to a stop when he saw a hand waving in front of his from the other side of the glass. He turned up to see a girl smiling at him as they made eye contact. He faintly hears her ask, "You guys have opened right? Could you open the door for me?"

Justin slowly nodded and began to unlock the door. The moment she stepped inside, Justin unconsciously shouted, "Welcome to 9% Baerista!"

His shout shocked the others who all turned to the door. Carelessly, the left their work and welcomed their first customer, who was so kind to ignore the chaos of a mess they were being.

Not to forget, some of them even tried to control their cool by almost failing in posing like models.

The girl somehow managed to not notice their flustered selves and took a liking for the pastries and the decor

"Looks like we have officially opened up the door to a hell of a coffee shop."
