Khushi stared at the house with wave of emotions engulfing her.
She had spent her two precious years in this house. She was, no, she is the Daughter-in-law of this house. She is the bright SUNNY of this house.
With trembling limbs, she held the knob of the car door and clicked open it to come outside. Once, keeping her feet in the campus of her house, she felt a strong hit of past memories where she used to roam and run like a carefree bird all over here.
Feeling a comforting hand on her shoulder, she turned to find Arjun standing there with a sleeping Arnavi in his arms.
For a second, she felt like confining her emotions with her only friend since she got married but then remembered how this very friend who happens to be her brother-in-law proposed her. Anger bubbled inside her but before she could lash out at him, she felt someone grabbing her from behind. She closed her eyes in distress. These two brothers would admit her in mental asylum one day.
Stay away from my wife Arjun. Arnav warned in a dangerous tone making Arjun smirk sarcastically.
Bhai, stop being so insecure, I was just trying to comfort her. I understand her better than you.
Arjun successfully instigated fire inside her brother and turned around only to find Maahi standing infront of him with disgust in her eyes.He averted his eyes and smiled at the two Raizada little men who were awestruck seeing their actual home.
Khushav was squealing in joy like a squirrel while Arush was busy admiring the place while the hurricane was busy punching any random person in her sleep in the arms of her Chachu.
Holding Khushi's hand gently, he started walking only to find Khushi keep gluing to her place. The nervousness before facing her mother-in-law was clearly visible.
Everything will ne fine. She can't be upset with you for long. The comforting words of her husband made tears pool in her eyes. If only, he had been this understanding and comforting since early, she wouldn't had the need to leave this place, her paradise.
Jerking off his hold making insult and hurt reflect through his eyes, she marched towards Arjun, taking her daughter from him rather harshly and then holding her other two sons' hands, she asked Maahi to follow her inside.
She needs to face her Maa, she needs to do this for her children, she needs to do this for that old lady whom she left without any explanation.
The Raizada brothers shied seeing an angry, adamant and nervous Khushi abd silently followed her inside.
Ringing the door bell, she stood outside with bated breath and thudding heartbeat for the upcoming.
The door opened revealing the head of the house. Khushi felt like crying hard seeing her cold eyes. She used to look so strong and positive but today she looked older, tired and broken.
Ratna looked at the people standing outside. Her Chiku had given him the needed information and she wasn't surprised too see Her Chote back with her family with a new member.
But should she be happy or angry?
Her face and eyes didn't convey any feelings to nor Arnav neither Khushi who were waiting for any reaction from her side.
Their lips curled in a small smile when they saw Ratna staring rather gawking at her three grandchildren, while the two of them grinned back at her.
