No matter the day or night you never sleep. In the morning I stare out my window watching as they go about their day living their mundane lives. Scurrying and scampering to their nine to five jobs by cabs, cars, trains, and buses. With the sounds of honking crowded through the traffic-filled streets. As traffic never, sleeps. When the sun goes down the bright street lights come on. As day turns to night, the streets crowded with traffic. The sounds of laughter filled throughout the streets. People roaming the streets looking for a good time. As you could hear high heels beat the pavement down and leave their mark, like graffiti covering street corners. No trees in sight but buildings stacked on top of each other for miles. The city was as long as it was high. The loud noises of trucks and buses filled the streets. In a distance, you noticed the Brooklyn Bridge. Daylight may leave and night may come but the city never sleeps. Time may fly by quickly but the city always looks the same. With a river flowing of, people. The heart of the city not sure where from or where they are going. People move through the streets as blood courses through the veins.
