I am watching my daughter and Tom. They are sitting in the soft chairs in the bar talking. I can't help smiling to myself. I have no doubt that there is something brewing between them, even though they might not be ready to admit it yet.

It is clear to see in the way they look at one another, the way they seem to unintentionally touch all the time. Right now they are sitting so close that Tom has his long legs spread, so Lexie can have her knees between them.

  They have spend a lot of time together this last week, going for long walks, having lunch and dinner, often with me and Sebastian. They even drove into town to go to the cinema. Lexie keeps claiming that they are just friends, that she is just passing time with him. But a mother knows. I might only have seen her with Edward 3 times, but I have never seen her look at him like this.

I know I shouldn't get involved, but honestly I am getting more and more sure that my daughter is making a big mistake if she marries Edward. That family of snobs is just not the right one for her. No, she should be with someone like Tom, and I am of course saying that totally partially. I have a feeling they just need a slight push to realise.

And something hits me, I think I know just exactly how to give them that nudge. So I walk over to the two lovebirds, ready to fight for this. "Hi Sweeties, so Lexie are you ready for the dance lesson ? It's in half an hour".

"Mom, you know Edward isn't arriving before tonight, his plane was delayed". She say, looking up at me. "So no I am not ready, I don't want to be the only one alone in a sea of couples".

Oh I know very well that Edward won't be here before tonight, that is exactly what I am going to use. "But you wanted to brush up on Your skills before the wedding, didn't you ? And I really want to go, but Your father only want to go if you are coming".

"Yeah I did want to make sure I don't humiliate myself, but I can't dance alone. Sorry mom, maybe you can talk daddy into coming anyway". She say, shaking her head.

I smile, putting a hand on Tom's shoulder. "Well I happen to know that Tom is actually a gifted dancer and I am sure he is willing to help you out and be Your partner".

"Uhm thanks Olivia, but I am not sure I should get involved in this". Tom say, looking up at me with an uncertain smile.

Lexie puts a hand on his leg, just above his knee and the look on his face says everything. My daughter has him completely enthralled, even though she isn't aware. "You don't have to Tom. I totally get it. But if you did it .. Well it would be a big favour to me".

"Okay then, if it means so much to you". He say, a warm smile spreading on his handsome face, as he places his hand on top of hers.

She return his smile. Those two are so cute together and they are going to give me the most beautiful grandchildren. Her voice is soft. "Thanks Tom".

I am not really sure why I asked Tom to do this. It's not that I was that hooked on dancing. But I have to admit that I kind of keep finding reasons to spend time with him. The more time I spend with him, get to know him, the more I want to be near him.

"Tell me again why I am doing this ?" Tom whispers out of the side of his mouth, as we stand next to each other in the dance studio.

I bite my lip. "Well because my mother sidelined us and then I asked you.. Sorry about that".

"Oh and here we have the beautiful bride". The dance teacher Gustavo comes over, he is a small very well groomed man with loose wrists and a weird accent.

I smile at him, seriously he is like the size of me and I am not particularly big, not even for a woman. "Well the bride anyway".

"Oh bollocks sweetums, you are just stunning.. especially those curls". He say, reaching out to touch my hair. Then he turns towards Tom, padding his bicep. "And this has to be the handsome and strapping groom".
