I woke up head hurting a little and wires in my arm. I groaned and rolled over on my side. When I opened my eyes, I seen someone I didn't want to see.

?? : Hey sleeping beauty. Finally awake.

I rolled my eyes and rolled the other way. I heard him getting up and walking in front of my face. I huffed and looked at him.

Me : What do you want. You already took the love of my life.

?? : See for the upteenth time, I didn't "take" the love of your life from you. I didn't even know he was married to you in the first place.

I looked at Craig then sat up in my bed. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked at me.  

Craig : Look man. I only came to see if you alright. That's all.

Me : How the hell I even get here?

Craig : See, what happened was that.....you drunk too much. And you came knocking on my door at 2 in the damn morning. So then you had started some altercations and that lead me knocking you out and sending you to the hospital.

I looked at him wide eyed. He shrugged and lift the shades he had in his face up. He had a black eye.

Craig : Yea my nigga. You hit me in the eye. I should've called the police last night but Ray was so sweet that he just wanted you in the hospital instead.

I then had my head down. After a minute, I looked at Craig.

Me : I apologize for what happened last night. I wasn't planning on drinking that much.

Craig : It's good man. I don't take grudges like that.

I nodded then huffed. Craig then grabbed his keys and checked the time on his phone.

Craig : Well, let me go. I'll let Ray come see you later if you're still here.

I nodded again. Craig then went to the door. I sighed and looked at Craig.

Me : Wait Craig.

He stopped and came back in the room.

Me : How the hell you do it? I mean like, you knew after that he was married and he lied to you and me to add and yet you still with him. How?

Craig : Well....I'm not gonna lie at first, I was pissed. I didn't know he was married until I heard you hollering "Babe I'm home!"

Me : Wait, you was I'm my house when I came home?!

Craig : Hey. I thought he was single at the time. Don't judge me. So anyway, we heard you and Ray was so scared that he told me to hide in the damn closet. When you came up to the room I heard everything y'all said. When you got in the shower, I left. I was pissed like hell. So I left him alone then. Then my court day came.

Me : Court day?

Craig : I was trying to have custody of my daughter and get her back.

Me : Oh. Continue.

Craig : Anyway, court day came and Ray WAS one of my witnesses but I just said fuck it then. After my trail, he actually came. And when I was getting ready to go, he poured his heart out saying he loved me and he should've been honest and that he know he lied. At first, I didn't want to accept it. But if my friend wasn't there, I would've left him there to cry. So then I accept it cause I love him too. So don't be saying I took your love when all along he was cheating on you.

I sat there quiet. He was right. In a way. I looked at Craig and nodded.

Me : Alright. But....I still love him Craig.

Craig : All you can do is try to let it go. Apparently, he wasn't the one if he cheated on you.

Craig then started to leave. That made me wonder.

Me ; How you know he won't cheat on you then?

He stopped again and turned my way. I looked at him.

Craig : What?

Me : I mean I'm just saying. He cheated on me with you. How do you know if he won't cheat on you?

Craig : He won't cheat on me. I know he won't.

Me : How you know that?

Craig : I just know. Bye Dawn.

Then he left. I just huffed and flipped through the channels.
