A/N Enjoy getting new chapters so soon, because I'm going back to school soon and won't have time to write or post again for a while, but for now: enjoy :)
I also forgot to mention before that I think there is nothing wrong with being a lesbian. Just in this context when you're accused of being one when you know aren't: isn't very nice. Especially when people refuse to believe you.
.oOo.
I couldn't breathe from laughing so hard. Just before our last game ended we were losing by about 100 points. As a last resort I ran into the enemies base, which just so happened to be Amanda's team. Amanda's team were unprepared and shocked at my arrival and I managed to shoot them down a couple times before my pack was disabled. We won.
And Amanda's face when she was told she lost after she did her ridiculous victory dance was priceless.
"Eli that was AWESOME!" Adrian exclaimed, from the corner of my eye I saw Mandy watching."How the hell did you manage to win the game?"
"I had a good team mate" As I said this I stood a little closer than what was deemed acceptable if we were to call each other friends. Maybe it was mean, but I made sure Mandy had heard me. Adrian just gave me a funny look, he seemed to struggle keeping eye contact. I pulled away giggling.
I was still laughing when we left the building. Apparently I was laughing so hard Adrian had to steady me. I could feel the heat of Mandy's glare as we left.
On the bus we discussed games and strategies, and I again tried to get Adrian to pick up a book.
"No! For the thousandth time: NO"
"But-"
"To quote the most annoying person on Earth at this very moment 'Butts are for farting'"
I groaned and hit my head on the seat in front of me.
"Why don't you talk to Mandy" It wasn't a question, but a suggestion. All half hearted frustration gone, there was a look in his eyes that made it impossible to look away.
"I can't." I looked down to my fingers twisting in my lap.
"Why not?" For once, the question wasn't being demanded.
"This doesn't concern you, Adrian." My voice cracked and I was almost whispering.
"She's ignoring me too you know. What's going on?"
I didn't answer. I couldn't answer. I might be fighting with Mandy right now but I'm not going to spill her biggest secret because I was angry with her.
Adrian just sighed. After what seemed like an eternity of silence he said. "If you're not going to be honest I might as well be." Confused I looked up to see Adrian leaning back refusing to return my gaze.
"Adrian." At this he looked up at me. "What is it?"
His face slowly cracked into a grin. "I have a girlfriend."
I blinked.
Then promptly burst out laughing.
"I'm glad my love life is funny to you." He said, rubbing the part of his arm I had hit in my outburst.
Which only made me laugh harder.
The bus began to slow down and Adrian stood up. "wha-what are you doing?" I said between breaths. "It's not our stop."
"Well it is now." He said grabbing his bag.
"Wait! No. Please." I grabbed his hand. "I'm sorry" Adrian just looked at our entwined hands shocked. "I didn't mean to laugh. Its just..."
"Just what." He said, sitting down slowly, unsure of himself.
"Not what I expected." I cracked a smile.
"What were you expecting?" He ask with a tone of surprise.
I just looked at him, and snorted. "I'm sorry. Its just I've never thought of you as- no-in that way before." Adrian looked unimpressed. I bumped him with my shoulder. "C'mon thats funny! How is that not funny to you?" He just shrugged.
"If I told you that I had a boyfriend, how would you react?"
Adrian pursed his lips. "Not the way you just did."
"Oh c'mon! You don't know that!"
"Actually, I do." He said. To which I snorted again.
"You know snorting isn't very lady like you should work on that Elizabeth"
"Don't mock me" I shot him a playful glare. He stares back until we were both on the verge of laughter.
"C'mon," he says standing up. "Here's our stop"
I jump off the bus and he follows behind. "Do I know her?"
"What?"
"Your girlfriend, do I know her?"
"Umm, no . She's a youtuber, we've made a couple videos together." Adrian checked his watch.
"So you've never actually met her?"
"Not exactly, we live pretty close though, a couple of suburbs north of the City. I'm planning on meeting her this weekend. "
"Wow" Was all I could say.
"I need you to come with me."
"What? Why?"
"I need- I dunno... what if she's not there?"
"Ry, I don't think me being there is a good idea"
"Why?"
"Because I'm a girl." Why is he not getting this?
"So?"
"Omigod! You do not show up to a first date, with another girl!"
"Oh." He said finally realising the problem.
"Yes. 'OH'"
"You haven't mentioned me have you?"
"...maybe?" He said, unsure. "She has asked about you, since you are in my videos. But I don't think she thinks it's a problem. "
"Of course you don't." I said exasperated. I ran my hands through my tangles. "You know nothing about girls do you?"
"Oh and you do?" He said
"Excuse me? Have you forgotten something? " I placed my hand on my hip. "My sisters a girl."
Adrian just looked at me and snorted.
"Oh, who's snorting now?!"
I exclaimed, grinning. He just snorted louder.
We arrived at the corner of his street, our pace slowed. "TF2 tonight?" I asked.
"Umm, maybe later... I was planning on filming MCSG with her tonight."
"Oh, ok." I couldn't help feeling a sinking feeling in my chest. "That's ok, I need to finish The book Thief anyway..."
Adrian just nodded. We stopped in front of his house. "See ya." He said fishing in his pockets for his keys, distracted.
"Bye" I said quietly. I couldn't help feeling hurt; usually Adrian walked me home because he had nothing better to do. Now I guess he does...
Adrian flashed a grin before closing the door, leaving me to my thoughts and confusion.
