Chapter 1
I am still hooked up to these breathing machines. I'ts been hours, I need to have fun.
What exactly is fun? I know for sure it isn't watching old people and sick children get cared for everyday, or maybe staring at blank tiled walls because thats all they have for 16 year old girls with bad breathing problems.
So bad, all you can do is atleast listen to the original version of Darude - Sandstorm.
I want to breath normal out side air; go to school, drive a car, date, love.
Impossible you very stupid girl.
I scold myself for thinking that way. I'll never experience love the way I read about in the books. No girl with short blaxk hair, blue eyes and small frame gets love.
The nurse walks in. Holding a bag of blood with someones name plastered to it.
" Alyssa, it seems like your blood drip is running out, refill?"
She says it like its a drink.
" No, what I need is fun." I scold at her. The nurse sighs and continues, " I'll have Jeremy come in, sweet boy, cancer, makes everyone feel better-" " Why cant I just go?" I ask weakly.
I felt short of breath. The nurse quickly hooks me up to the new blood and fixes my IV's carefully.
" Because your still very weak. I'll have Jeremy be here momentarily." With that, she leaves.
I ponder my thoughts on Jeremy. I have only seen him once but he was recognizable.
Jermey had a tan. His eyes were doe-like and green. Pretty eyes. He had a wide smile and short buzz cut hair. Brown- i think.
I smile. I would give Jermey a chance. He is special to me, because we are both broken. I believe we can fix eachother.
But he wouldn't want me.
Not with the fault in my stars.
****
