(One for sorrow by STEPS)
After 2 years of adjustment to my new school, I already forgot all about Kevin. His face, his voice and everything about him except for his COMPLETE NAME.
But as a little girl, you couldn’t change the fact that there were some cute little boys that you would definitely set your eyes on. Yes you’re right; I had another crush when I was in 3rd grade. His name was John. He has dark skin, almond dark eyes, pouty lips and a cute little nose.
He was an outgoing person, friendly and smart. But what I like the most about him was his killer smile. We were kind of opposite because he was always late in class while I was known to be the early bird in class but it’s okay for me as long as he would attend in class and I got to see him every day.
Then there was one time that some students in our class were chosen to be part of the program for the month and I was so lucky enough to be included for the said program.
So after class, we would be meeting up so that we would be assigned to our respective roles for the program. When I opened the room where our practice would be held my jaw dropped open because for the fact that all of my classmates that were included in the program where there and also there was one person I didn't expect to be there and that was John. He was smiling at me and I couldn’t take my eyes off him because he was just so cute.
Then during the practice, we were divided into two groups and fortunately we were on the same group. So that was the moment where all the” magic” started like when we were on the same room it’s like there were only just the two of us. So during the practice, we became good friends. He used to tease me and mimic all my moves during our practice break.
We were just so happy in each other’s company until one afternoon. One of our classmates had a crush on John. She even told all our classmates that she had feelings towards John. On the other hand, John also found out that all the covers of his notebooks were vandalized by the girl. She wrote “I love you John” on every cover of his notebook to expressed her feelings towards him. Then our classmates started teasing them on that day.
I felt so sad and disappointed at the same time because John seemed to enjoy those “teasing moments” but still we remained good friends.
So when the school year was almost over, I found out that John would be transferring to another school and I also found out that he had also feelings for me because his friend told me about it. But unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to say my farewell to him because he never returned in school anymore. I guess he hated goodbyes.
