We are not welcome there

Our taste in clothing and our colorful minds are strictly forbidden is that place we call society
The gates are permanently locked

You take one step inside and you shall never
escape
The ones who do never show their face to anyone

They hide because they fear they do not fit in
When out here no one tries to fit in
Fitting in only happens in society and we do not live there, we live alone
In the outskirts of town where no one can find us, we only go out to break the rules
Where our clothing is too short and our hair is too colorful

We are the rebels in your perfect preppy town called society

Where your motto can be "Fit in."
Ours can be "Stand out."

So we can shave our heads
We can have rolls of fat
Acne is something we don't cover up
Makeup is something we live by or not
Our attitudes could always be sour
And who said it had to be man and woman
Your skin color does not matter
And we said nothing about sexuality

Also I'm pretty sure popular doesn't exist because no one reigns higher than the others
Your religion is nothing to be ashamed of
And birthmarks are beautiful
Mental illness is not something you should push away
Physical illness is not something you should push away

Crazy is just one nickname you can call us
Call the all the others
It might bring some of us down
But we will not lose this fight against society

We shall not fit in like pieces of a puzzle
We are like a mural that is in progress and shall never be finished

We are not welcome in society
But we are welcome to rebel

So rebel we must
We do not want to live in your little brick houses which are surrounded by white picket fences
We do not want to have your perfect straight A's and big white smiles
We do not want your rules
Because we are meant to break them

We can crash cars
We can graffiti walls
We can do anything we please because no one is there telling us we can't

So take my hand
Come on over
Leave your perfect little house
And let loose

Roam with the wolves
And howl with the pack
