Grape

You hear muffled voices as you begin to open your eyes, your vision is blurry, your whole body is numb. You had just woken up from a dream that you believed was the best dream anyone has ever dreamed of.

You can see many people surrounded by you, see their faces clearly, but most of them wore black suits and masks.

"Jieun come with us, we'll help you." a strange man with a very deep voice speaks to you. You wanted to say something but you couldnt speak because you felt so numb, The last thing you remember before this whole thing was , you were at the park quietly listening and watching the leaves rustle in the soft wind, your hair blows a little, it was a quite nice sensation you felt. But then all of a sudden you were here.
In a pitch white bed with the bland smell of soap, which you hated, You see nothing but white in the room.

"포도 (Grape) " You manage to spit out a few words before a stabbing pain came throbbing at your stomach and you groan

"Grape? You need Grapes Ms. Gu?" a familiar voice speaks. But you dont know where you heard this voice before. You wanted to see Grape. Your hamster.

"m-mom" you softly say with all the strength you have. Your sight was getting clear, and now you could see everyones faces, but you dont see your mother. They all panicked and didnt know what to do when you said 'Mom'.

You try to sit up but the ugly pain had come back from your stomach, you look down at it and it seems fine. It continues to stab with pain and you groan

"Ms. Gu i think its best if you lay back down." a woman hushes you. You lay back down and say 'Mom' again.

Your vision slowly starts blurring out again, slowly, then its all black again.

2 months later

"Jieun-ah.. wake up..please just wake up.." You hear a man hovering above you , his voice seems so so familiar but you dont remember. The man you heard kept saying your name

"Jieun-ah..please.." You could hear his soft cries through your closed eyes and opened ears.

You dont know whether it was your dad or someone else. You open your eyes and breathe heavily

"She's awake! Jieun is awake!" The man ran out the room looking for doctors.

Ah. This place again? Mom, Where are you? I want to see you. I want to hug you mom. But where are you?

You sat up on your bed and luckily the pain from your stomach was gone. You looked around, the same room as last time. You found a mirror and looked into it. Your hair had gotten alot longer and your face seemed a little,well, older.

You look out the window to see snow.

Snow? In April?

The doctors came soon enough and slowly talked to you.

"Ms. Gu, do you know your name?" Asked an unfamiliar doctor

This time, it was much easier to talk, and you felt no pain.

"Why..wouldnt i know my own name? Gu Jieun." You blankly said

You tried to walk off the bed. You wanted to go home. But the doctors insisted you stay.

"Mom. I want to see mom. And why is it snowing in April?" You ask. The doctor looked down and whispered

"Gu Jieun. You've been in a coma for 6years." The doctor said

"How do you know my name?"

"You just told me."

"No before that, you knew my name. How?"

"I'll explain all of that later, Ms.Gu"

You couldnt understand. Tears forming in your eyes. "What does my mom have to do with this coma thing?" You could feel your heart skipping many beats

"Your mother.. well she was one of a kind. When you first arrived at the hospital with your mother you were unconscious. When you fell into a coma your mother was so so heartbroken. She tried to earn money. She was dead set on getting you out of here.
But soon enough, she passed away from overworking and stress." The doctor explained the whole story while looking down at the floor

Your sadness had come to you and your tears wouldnt stop. You missed her so so much.
And now that you think back, you should have been a better daughter while you had the chance. Your heart hurt so much. You felt like you wanted to die.

"H-how did i fall into a coma?" You ask, surely the doctors would know.

"That's what we're trying to figure out. And now that you're awake, you can tell us what happened." He blankly says with whatsoever no emotion

"Crazy Bastard."
" How the hell would i remember something from like 7 years ago? And wheres Grape?"

"Grape?"

"Yes, Grape. My hamster."

"Well...he-" the doctor said without knowing what to do

A young handsome blonde man came through the door. But he wasnt a foreigner , he was korean. He had a beautiful eye smile and was in hospital clothes. He was also quite short. But ofcourse taller than you.

Why do you seem so familiar? Why can't i remember you? How many memories did i lose?

"I think i know where Grape is." He forced a smile and walked towards you and holds your hand in his, his touch seemed so familiar.

"Come with me."
