Many years ago, a Guardian of the kingdom of Chowa was banished to the mountains. Terribly wounded, the ice-creature fainted while escaping. To protect herself from further harm, she covered herself in a layer of ice and slept there. After years of resting, the ice creature woke.
She pushed against the ice, cracking it like a baby bird hatching out of an egg. Sitting up, the ice-creature opened her glassy, dark cyan eyes. Looking around for a little, memories hit her like a wave. When she stood up, the ice-creature felt her ribbon-like tail flow with the wind of an upcoming blizzard. She flexed her newly formed scales that lined her whole backside.
This new form made Yang feel powerful. Even though it had been many years, Yang could still remember her years as a Guardian. Anger surged through Yang like venom. Although her plan would surly get back at not only the Guardians, but the creatures of Chowa.
Looking around, Yang made her way towards a clustered group of snow covered evergreens. She peeked through the low-hanging branches at a group of shady looking creatures. They were sitting in a circle around a few berries, looking like they hadn't eaten in days. Their pathetic state made Yang want her plan to work more than ever.
Yang made her way through the branches, the sharp needles brushing against her pelt. The group were startled when Yang broke through the branches and automatically went into defense mode. Yang didn't flinch, she just held up a paw. The group of ice creatures hesitantly settled down, keeping an eye on their few berries.
The ice-creature to the left was small and stood on four legs. It's white fur was long and matted. The fur was so long that it covered the creatures eyes. There were decent sized horns that curled backwards on each side of its head.
In the middle was the biggest of the group. It stood on two legs and had a shell of ice. The parts that weren't protected by the shell was white fur like the ice creature on the left. This creature also had horns on the sides of its head that curled backwards. There were also small spikes made of stone on its shell.
On the right was a bird-like creature. Instead of feathers, it had ice. The ice-creatures tail feathers were large, gorgeous ice crystals that reflected the little light there was in the clearing. Its neck was long and it had a mask made of ice.
Yang looked around at the group. She set her paw on the ground and sat down, her silky tail wrapping around her paws. With her chin held high, Yang lifted her chin and readied to speak. "I understand that times are tough, but I can help you and everyone with that. We can change the harsh way we live if everyone accepts to my plan."
Yang lowered her head and looked at the creatures. Even though they were still tense, they seemed intrigued. "As we all know, we are forced here with no recourses by the horribly unfair creatures of Chowa! This... needs to change. And in order to do that, I have made a plan to unite every ice-creature in these mountains and form a kingdom of our own. Once our kingdom is strong and combat ready, we will attack Chowa and show no mercy as they had done to us!" Yang yowled in triumph as she paced back and forth.
The other ice-creatures cheered. "Yeah! I'm sick of worrying if we'll have enough food to survive everyday!" The biggest ice-creature growled. The smaller creature drove its hoof into the ground and thrusted its head, as if preparing for battle. The bird-like ice-creature kept its composure, but its eyes behind the mask sparkled with delight.
