Log 1 -Day 1

January - Week 1

Morinaga T, Tatsumi S

Morinaga stretched himself across his bed to silence his alarm. The sky was void of any of its typical bronze and periwinkle presets associated with the sun's emergence, but as was the way for the second week of January despite it being 7 o'clock in the morning.

Morinaga dragged himself out of bed - he may have been a cheery man with a peaceful aura, but he was still was not a morning person - and felt his way to his living room in his apartment to turn on a lamp and open up some curtains.

He then spent the next 45 minutes getting cleaned up in the bathroom and cooking his breakfast all the while the sun making its presence more prevalent and becoming a better suited source of light and morning joy (and there may or may not have been a few top chart songs filling in the that delayed his routine as he strut about from room to room).

When he had placed the last fork in the dishwasher, Morinaga headed back inside his room to place on his business casual and dispel his nerves in front of his mirror.

"You're fine - better than fine - great! even. You've fed yourself to the sharks before and came out alive. What's another great white or two. Or 11..", he sighed,  "But! Gave countless presentations just last semester. Besides, these people are like what, 16, 17? They're young enough to be your baby siblings, but old enough to be your friends. Good age, the perfect age group for you. Piece of cake."

He straightened his tie on last time, Let's go!

When he had turned around to lock up something had fell down from the door. He reached down and picked up a sticky note.

'You're doing great, sweaty !! ;) - Hirito~kun'

Morinaga smiled as he rose from his kneel.

Sweaty. Thanks, Hirito.

Inside joke. Short story, actually, but that strays from the main scheme of things unfortunately.

He finished locking up and headed for the train station.

As the train doors closed and he grabbed hold of the handle above him, he went over the mental checklist he had one last time to distract himself before permitting other thoughts to fathom.

First day of work halfway through the year with a bunch of isolated teenagers - Not how I envisioned my first job, but we've all gotta start somewhere. Kiseki High here I come.

Morinaga stepped into what would be his classroom for the next five months.

8:10. Just in time

He layed his bag under his desk and proceeded to set up for they day.

He wrote his name down on the whiteboard, logged into his new laptop (this nice ass school had Macbooks for the students and staff to use), and looked over the roster he had found on a desk when he walked in.

Strange names some of these kids have.. I like them.

It was around 8:20 when the first bunch came trickling in. They glanced at him and whispered short phrases to each other, but gave him a slight bow and greeting nonetheless.

Morinaga returned the gesture as he observed his students.

His students. Still something he had to get use to.
