Jay’s POV

I wake up and Suzy is still peacefully sleeping, I don’t want to disturb her so I write her a note and leave it on my pillow.

Just going out for a bit, won’t be long, see you soon. Missing you already, love Jay.

I don’t want to tell her where I’m going because I want it to be a surprise. Yesterday while walking to the restaurant we passed a jewellery store, and in the window was a lovely ring that caught my eye. It’s not a wedding ring; we are far too young for that. The big tanzanite stone is set into a white gold band, and held in place by many small diamonds. It’s perfect for Suzy, I can’t wait to see her face when I give it to her, I think happily.

Laura’s POV

Is that? Oh my God, that is Jay McGuiness! I start to silently fan girl to myself; I can’t believe it! I live in London and have never seen him once; I come on holiday to Tenerife and here he is! I pick up my things and begin making my way towards him.

“Excuse me.” I say shyly, and he turns around to look at me.

“Hey.” He says smiling at me. “How can I help you?”

“I’m a really big fan of yours, I was just wondering if I would be able to get a picture with you?”

“Of course you can.” He replies while putting his arm around my shoulders.

Rebecca’s POV

“Is Jay not back yet?” I ask Suzy as she joins us all back at the pool after checking her room for signs of him.

“No he’s not.” She replies, clearly annoyed. “He said he wouldn’t be long, and he’s been gone ages!”

“Have you tried phoning him?” Nathan asks.

“Yeah.” She sighs, “He won’t pick up.”

“He’ll be back soon! You know Jay he’s probably fallen over somewhere.” Tom says laughing.

“That doesn’t make me feel any better. Anyway I’ll see you guys later.” Suzy says before walking back towards the hotel.

Suzy’s POV

I can’t help worrying about Jay; he’s been gone almost all day now. What if something bad has happened to him? That’s when my thoughts get interrupted by a key turning in the door.

“Where’ve you been?” I ask Jay as soon as he gets the door open.

“Babe, I’m sorry I was so long, let me explain.” He says while coming towards me and taking my hands, but I pull them away.

“I was looking forward to spending the day with you Jay; I thought you felt the same.” I say getting upset.

“I do babe.”

“Then why leave me on my own all day?”

“I was getting you this Suzy.” He sighs. “I wanted to give it to you in a much more romantic way, but here.” He says while handing me a small box. I open it up to find a beautiful tanzanite and diamond white gold ring; it takes my breath away.

“Jay it’s beautiful.” I say while kissing him as a way of thank you. “Thank you so much, and I’m so sorry I got annoyed with you.”

“It’s fine.” He says laughing, and sliding the ring onto my hand.

“How about I make it up to you?” I ask while winking and pulling him onto the bed with me.

Anne’ POV

“Tomcat, I’m just going for a quick walk, I want some fresh air.”

“You okay babe?” He asks me while sitting up looking concerned.

“I’m fine.” I say kissing him goodbye. “See you in a bit.”

“See you honey.” He replies while lying down to fall back asleep again.

I walk to the local newsagents, and that’s when I see it... front page news. Jay kissing a girl, a girl who isn’t Suzy...
