Chapter 7: Seeing some old Friends and coming up with more Pranks
I woke up after Madam Pomfrey finished with my Injuries and was relieved to hear that I was able to leave. When I walked into the Common Room, I was greeted by Arms engulfing me. "Nixie, you're back!" Hermione exclaimed. I grinned and said, "I was only in there for less than a Day." She smiled at me and shrugged.
Just then, my Stomach rumbled loudly, catching the attention of my Friends. "Let's go eat." Harry said with a smirk. I nodded eagerly and followed them out of the Common Room and into the Great Hall. Once we walked in, the Hall errupted into Cheers; everyone except the Slytherins of course. I smiled at everyone and quickly rushed to our Table. "Well done Nixie! Great Win!" Seamus said. I thanked him and grabbed some Food.
I realized it was a School day, and quickly thought of anything I didn't do. Did I do my Homework? Hopefully. Did I have all of my Uniform upstairs? Nope, but oh well. Did I have any detentions? Most Probably. All sorted then. "Guys, what do we have first lesson?" I asked, breaking the silence between us. The Boys shrugged, but Hermione replied with a, "Potions". Harry, Ron and I groaned loudly, attracting some attention from nearby People.
I crossed my Eyes and waited for them to stop looking at me, which they did eventually. People these days are so rude with their staring..."Nixie..Nixie!" I heard someone say loudly. I jumped and looked at Ron, who was trying to ask me a Question. "What?" I asked. He sighed and rolled his Eyes.
"I asked, Are you doing anything tonight?" I gave him a weird look and shook my Head slowly. He grinned and looked at all of us. "Great, then we'll have a Wizard's Chess Tournament." he cheered. Harry and I shared a look, since Hermione was too engrossed in one of the Books from the Library, and looked back at Ron. "Do we have to?" Harry asked. Ron nodded and gave us a look that said 'and that's final'.
Great. It looked like I was going to spend my Evening playing Chess with Ron, who may I say, is far too eager when it comes to playing it. He would probably throw a temper tantrum if someone beat him. I did once, but that was pure luck and maybe some cheating from my side. We finished Breakfast and hurried to Potions, since we didn't exactly want to get a Detention anytime soon.
We had to read about the uses of Sleeping Draughts, which were far too many. As soon as we got out of the Classroom, everyone seemed to relax a little. I grabbed Ron, Harry and Hermione and made my way to Charms, where we had to learn about the floating Spell again. Ron seemed much better at it, which was no surprise.
Once we got something to eat, we left to walk around the School. Ron decided that we were going to have the Tournament in the Evening, much to our relief. We walked past a Tree and saw Hagrid pouring something on the Flowers.
"Hagrid!" I called. He jumped slightly and turned to look at us. "Ah, 'ello Guys." he said. We walked up to him and smiled. "What are you doing?" I asked him, looking at the thing behind his Back. From afar, it looked like he was peeing on the Flowers, but close up, you could see that he was pouring Slug killer on them.
"Just looking after the Flowers. I saw Slugs eating at them." he replied. We nodded slowly and watched him finish his Job. "Well done yesterday, Nixie." Hagrid said. I thanked him and followed him and the others across the Courtyard.
"Done anything interesting lately?" he asked us. We all looked at each other and stared at our Feet. "We weren't the only ones..." Ron muttered, obviously hinting towards Snape's injury. I gave him a glare and shook my Head.
"What?" Hagrid looked at Ron. He shook his Head and said, "Nevermind." Hermione sighed and rolled her Eyes, before saying, "They think Snape went to see the 3 headed Dog in the Castle." Me and the Boys looked at her with wide eyes and an open Mouth. "What the hell Hermione!" I whined.
