A Special Girl In Her Special World

Klover Wood

Klover Wood was only a three month old baby girl when something unexpected happened to her. Since her father, Rolland was a scientist he did lots of experiments and made lots of antidotes. One day he found the cure to a common cold. With just drinking this antidote the cold will be gone in a day. He also made another antidote that helps people that have asthma to keep their breathing normal.

Klovers’ dad, Rolland was so excited that he had finished his work that he went to look for his wife, Chloe who was in the kitchen cooking breakfast for herself and Klover because she thought that he was going to work until noon and then eat. He asked her if she could make an extra breakfast for him. He was so excited that when he went back down to the laboratory he forgot the two bottles of antidote in the kitchen!

Since the antidotes weren’t labelled Chloe thought that the antidote for the cold was milk and that the antidote for the asthma was syrup so she mixed them in with Klovers’ breakfast. Since Klovers’ teeth hadn’t come in yet because she was still too small her mother puts her breakfast in a blender and she always puts milk and syrup in with it.

Once she was finished cooking hers she sat down at the table and started feeding Klover and after she started eating her breakfast. Klover wasn’t fussy so she ate nearly every meal that her mother gave her and she ate all of her breakfast today!

Eventually when Rolland calmed down he remembered that he left the antidotes upstairs in the kitchen so he ran up the stairs so fast that normally he would have fell down them. He was too late the bottles of the antidote were halfway empty and since he knew his wife, Chloe wouldn’t have drank or added any liquids to her meal he presumed that Chloe didn’t notice and gave some of the antidotes to his daughter, Klover!

“Honey, what did you use those liquids in the bottles for? “, Roland said as calmly as he could. “I used them for Klovers’ breakfast. Weren’t they milk and syrup? “, Chloe said curiously. “Oh no. Call an ambulance quick. We need to make sure nothing is going to happen to her. Come on, hurry up!“, Rolland said nervously. “But you still haven’t told me what happened! “, Chloe said after she called the ambulance. “I’ll tell you while we’re going there. Go and wait outside with her to give her some fresh air and to wait for the ambulance so we get in and at the hospital as fast as possible!! I’m going to lock the lab and close the windows! I’ll be with you in a minute “, Rolland said just before he went dashing the stairs once again but this time to lock the lab and the windows.

It took nearly fifteen minutes for the ambulance to arrive at their house and it took another fifteen minutes to get to the hospital but the nurses were checking Klover to see what was wrong but they said they had to have an x-ray to see if she has anything wrong with her bones since she was still growing.

Eventually they got there and they took her through to a doctor as fast as they could and they had her X-rayed. But they didn’t find out what happened from the X-ray. They found out from the check-up. Klovers’ heart was beating quite fast and she was breathing fast too. The doctor asked Chloe and Rolland if she ate anything before and they told him exactly what happened to Klover.

Klover had to stay in hospital for two weeks but eventually they found out how this is going to change her life. These two antidotes are going to make her a special little girl. She is going to be different because... the two antidotes together made her able to talk to animals but not only that. When she wants to she can turn into an animal too!!

Her parents couldn’t believe their ears once the doctor told them this and once they understood Chloe jumped out of her seat, turned to Rolland and said, “You cannot experiment on our little girl!!! That would just be wrong. “. Rolland too jumped up and said, “Who said I was going to experiment on her?? Aaah ... ok I see what you meant... Oh come on we could earn more money than we could ever dream of, we would be famous and she would be famous!! ” . Chloe looked at him with piercing wide eyes that told Rolland to sit back down and not to say anything at all.

The time had finally come for all of them to go back home and keep this secret to themselves for now. At home Chloe and Rolland discussed the same thing over and over and over again. Rolland still wanted to experiment on Klover but Chloe would never let him. She was staying as close to Klover as she could and spending as much time with her as possible because she knew that time flies and it will soon be time to start sending her to school.

Rolland too decided to drop the subject of experimenting on his little girl and decided to start spending time with her because he knew he would love to see her do things for the first time and he didn’t regret it because he saw her crawling for the first and a few months later she started walking. He saw her starting to talk and eating her first solid meal and he always made a big fuss of her because he knew that in a few years time she will start deciding to do things on her own without them.
