I'm weird. Yeah, I know that.

I'm weird dahil marunong ako magseryoso. I'm weird because hindi ako "in". I'm weird kasi alam ko ang tama sa mali. Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan mong makiuso para maappreciate. You have to be crazy. You have to be popular. You have to be fashionable. Oh well, ganyan ang society eh. You have to go with the flow.

Srsly, look at what the world has become. Kids being bullied, teens involving in smoking and drinking, everyone forgetting to care about others. Sa panahon ngayon, laging tungkol sa sarili.

Selfie, selfie, selfie. Puro ganyan tayo diba? "Buhay ko 'to, walang pakielamanan." Fave line ng Filipinos. May point naman talaga, but it's not all about ourselves. If everyone starts acting selfish and uncaring, then I don't think human civilization had advanced at all. We were blessed with the ability to think. To feel. To have a sense of right and wrong.

Pero sa panahon ngayon, what's right is usually 'old-fashioned' and 'baduy', and what's wrong is perceived as 'cool' and 'uso'. 'Cool' ang mga taong marunong gumamit ng swear words. 'Old-fashioned' yung mga taong pinagsasabihan sila. 'Nasa uso' yung mga kabataang dirty-minded. 'Baduy' yung mga nakakarealize that those thoughts are nonsense and useless.

Pero ano nga bang magagawa ko? I can't change the world on my own. But maybe, just maybe, people would someday wake up to reality. Sana balang araw, matuto rin tayong magseryoso, mag-isip ng tama, at kumilos.

And you, darling, I hope you think about it. Don't just laugh at me for being 'weird'.
