Chapter 2 Part 1.5

Natsu grabbed Lucy hand as they walked down the street.

"What do you need to talk about?" Lucy asked.

Natsu didn't respond. He just kept walking.

They finally got to a private spot so they could talk. There was a big willow tree in the middle.

"So?" Lucy asked behind Natsu.

Natsu turned to look at her. He put his hands on Lucy's shoulders and look at her; his face was extra red.

"Are you sick, Natsu?" Lucy asked.

He shook his head and stepped closer to her. Natsu leaned towards Lucy and gave her a hug. His arm wrapped around her waist and his other hand was on the back of her head.

"Natsu, are you okay?" Lucy asked confused.

"Yes," he said. "I'm fine."

"Then what did you need yo talk to me about?" Lucy asked.

"Lucy," Natsu began. He let go of Lucy and held her upper arms. "I feel something... about you."

"What do you mean?" Lucy questioned.

"I think I'm... In love with you." Natsu confessed.

"Natsu," Lucy said.

"I'm not playing around, Lucy." Natsu said. "I really do love you."

Natsu's cheeks turned a bright red. He tried to look away from Lucy.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Lucy asked.

Natsu tried not to make eye contact with her.

"I didn't know if I really did feel this way about you. My heart can't hide this feeling anymore. You gave me a chance to get over my first love and now I feel like I can't stop thinking about you. You make me feel good about myself and make me feel loved. Now I wanna repay that to you."

Tears rolled Lucy's face. "I've never been told that. Your words really touched me."

Lucy stepped closer to Natsu and hugged him tightly.

Natsu wrapped his arms around her and hugged her back.

Natsu kept her in her arms "You can tell me your answer whenever you want. I will always wait for you."
