"You're gorgeous," she breathes. Chris's head pops up from his personal Book of Shadows and he stares at her, green eyes narrowed and eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
She realizes what she said a second later, and she gasps. "Did I just say that out loud?"
"Yeah, you did." The confusion slowly leaves his face, and one corner of Chris's mouth turns up in a half-smile. "Not that I mind. Just... if you have any fantasies about me, don't let me know what they are, okay?"
Heart in her throat, she nods—though she can't really help it, given how handsome and pretty he is. "Okay."
