Leaves crunching on the ground, suspense haunting us. My mum is freaking out behind my dad. My twin brother Austin is acting like he's not afraid of anything, like a wannabe hero. However, I still love him, kind of.
"Jack I'm scared and cold." Mum said with a stutter.
"Here take my jacket, honey." Dad replied.
*GROWL*
As my dad gave my mum the jacket we heard something, something we have never heard in our lives. As we were walking in the forest trying to find a good story to tell the town about how there are evil spirits that haunt the forest, we ourselves got scared. We got scared because we made everything up about spirits and ghosts.
Austin was scared the most, too scared for a hero and for someone who is not afraid of anything.

While we continued walking in the dark creepy forest and just got over that hideous sound, I was daydreaming about what happened earlier. What happened earlier, which was at school, was probably the most humiliating thing ever.
FLASHBACK:
It's first period, math. Oh how I hate math, and I'm in the same class as my brother and his annoying ass friends. These guys are the type of guys who think they're all that, and that it's fine to play girls from left to right. Lucky for me I'm not that stupid to fall at their feet like that. Seeing as my brother and his mates are the most popular guys in school, girls will be all over them, but not this girl.
So later that day I found out one of his friends liked me, I was surprised and confused at the same time. And I found out it was CALEB PRIOR. The Caleb Prior. If you don't know who Caleb prior is, he is apparently the hottest guy in school and my childhood crush. The thing is he's my brothers best friend, which would be disgusting.
Caleb in front of everybody asked me out, even in front of my brother. My brother being the older twin got upset and attacked Caleb. Now the whole school thinks I turned down a date with the hottest guy in school, which I didn't. And if you don't find that humiliating, then you are not human.
END OF FLASHBACK:
As I get my mind off that dreadful story, I see a figure in the distance, kind of shaken and kind of scary.
"Let's check it out, they might need our help." Dad said with a fake brace voice.
And obviously I reply with...
"You've got to be frickin' kidding me!"
