"I'll see y'all next week." I said as I walked out the office.

I was relieved to be off, due to the heavy
workload, I haven't been able to sit down and just relax.

"Mommy!" Amir yelled.

"Hi mommy's boy!" I smiled as I picked him up. "Where's daddy?"

I walked into the kitchen and there he was whipping up chicken Alfredo, my mouth instantly started to water.

"Hey babe." Mario said.

"Hey." I smiled.

"The boys are on the way over, might want to get Amir to bed." He said.

"You can't put you're son to bed?" I questioned. I've been at work all day, he hasn't done shit.

"Aaliyah I'm cooking." He said.

I grabbed my phone and headed upstairs to Amir's bedroom. Amir's only three but he's very smart for his age.

"Go pick out some jammies baby."

Me and Mario have been dating ever since high school and two years ago we got married. Now here I am 25, with a three year old and a loving husband.

Mario thinks just because he works that he doesn't have to do shit to help out around the house and it's getting on my last nerves. All he ever wants to do is hang with his friends and he can be an ass when their around for no reason.

I finished up giving Amir his bath and then put him to bed. I went into the bedroom and gathered my things so that I could take a shower. Once I was done pampering myself I headed downstairs.

"Shut the fuck up." He yelled as he smacked me.

"Chris what the fuck!" I yelled as I ran into the bathroom.

"Baby I'm sorry!" He yelled.

I slammed the door and locked it. As I looked in the mirror, I could see how bad my cheek was starting to swell. It's not the first time this has happened, but I love Chris and I know that in due time everything will go back to how it used to be.

"Baby I'm sorry, please forgive me." Chris begged.

"Chris you need help."

"And I'll get help." He said as he pulled me into a hug.
