It was yet another day at the Mekakushi-Dan. You stared at the ceiling, bored and unaware of what to do. You had been in the Dan for a few months and Seto was the one that found you and brought you here. You were glad that he did, he had practically changed your life. Everyone at the Dan was your friend, but, you were closer to him than all the others.
“I’m back!” You heard Seto’s voice as he entered through the door. He must have come back from work.
“Welcome back!” You said, as you were finally glad that he was home. Now you didn’t have to sit around bored for the rest of the day.
“Oh, hey (Name), did you see the weather outside? It looks like there may be a storm coming through.” Seto said as he pointed over to the window. He was right, it did look as if it was going to storm soon.
“Oh, I didn’t notice.” You said.
‘Please, no thunder or lightning, please no.’ You thought. You were terrified of thunder and lightning, but you tried your best to hide it in front of everyone. Especially Kano, if he found out, well, he would prank you and tease you about it. You snapped out of your thoughts when you saw a hand in waving in front of your face.
“Oi, (Name), you okay? I’ve been talking and you’ve been zoning out.” Seto said as he walked closer to you.
“Y-yeah, I’m fine. Sorry I was just thinking, that’s all.” You replied.
“You better not be lying to me.” Seto said, getting closer to your face.
“I-I’m not lying!” You protested. Seto just stared at you for a minute, you’re face getting red noticing how close he was.
“Well, I have to go get something from my room, be back!” You said, escaping from the situation you were in.
You ran into your room and shut the door, looking for your phone. You just wanted to listen to music, that’s all. Plus you were still flustered from how close Seto was to your face.
Once you had grabbed your phone you opened the door and walked out of your room. Headphones on your ears with every step you took in rhythm with the beat. You weren’t watching where you were going so you accidentally bumped into someone, knocking your headphones off your head and onto the floor.
“Ah, I’m sorry I should have watched where I was going!” You apologized as you knelt to pick up your headphones, although the figure you had ran into picked them up for you.
“It’s no problem.” A familiar voice, Seto’s said. I was about to put my headphones back onto my head when a giant streak of lightning shot down from the sky and a large boom came after it.
“Eep!” You screamed, instantly covering your mouth after you had realized you had screamed in front of Seto.
“(Name), are you scared of lightning and thunder by any chance?” Seto asked, putting a hand on your shoulder.
“T-t-that’s silly! Why, would I be scared of that.” You nervously laughed. ‘Why did I just lie?’ You thought.
Another lightning streak had lit the sky and thunder had boomed through the base. Without thinking you instantly wrapped your arms around Seto and buried your head into his chest, trying to block out the noise.
“It’s alright.” He said as he wrapped his arms around you. A warm feeling started to bundle in your chest, and you felt safe. The next thing you knew, you’re world was swallowed with the sound of music through your headphones. Seto smiled at you as he kept his arms wrapped around you.
