I'm standing at the base of Stark Towers and holy cow is it huge. I've never seen anything as tall as this. Earlier, we had landed on top of the building where Tony has his own helicopter pad. Like who even casually has that? Tony began to give me a tour when a voice from the walls began to speak and there was a large shield flying towards my head. I hightailed it out of there.
So I'm at the base of the tower, unsure of where to go or what to do really. I've never been in a city as large as Manhatten and I'd prefer not to be here. I miss being able to see the ground for miles and miles, not just these little patches of "green" area that are on the sides and in the windows of balconies. I can't even imagine how these plants are living.
"There you are, kiddo. The crew is excited to meet you. Thor hasn't stopped asking questions and Cap wants to apologize for his shield coming at you."
"Why do you have so many people in your house? Why are they so big? Why do they have such weird names and weird ... just overall weirdness about them?"
"Why don't you come in and meet them? Then I'll tell you about the Avengers."

"Avengers of what?"

"Of evil of course."

My eyebrows pinch together. I think Tony's a bit off in the head. There's no way someone would name a group of large macho men as "The Avengers", it doesn't make logical sense.

"Hey team, huddle up. Emergency meeting." After a couple minutes, a large group of people crowd into the living room. "Hello everybody. After my recent trip to Africa, I have acquired a new member of the household. This is MJ, she's..."

"I'm confused and jet lagged. I'd rather not be here."

A woman with red hair smiles, "I'm Natasha."

A man with cropped, blonde hair and an inhumane attractiveness shakes my hand, his grip is tight. "Sorry about early. My shield wasn't supposed to fly your direction, Thor got a little crazy with our competition. I'm Steve."

Tony butts in, "And he is over sixty years old."

Suddenly, he doesn't seem as attractive anymore. I wonder what type of moisturizer he uses to look so young. It's probably plastic surgery.

A man holding a pop tart shakes my hand and I'm pretty sure broke a few of my bones. "I'm Thor."

Everybody else just grumbles their name or leaves. Wow, I feel welcome. Tony asks me if I want to explore the house and then sends me off. Alone.

I wander through the halls, trying to find a bathroom or a bedroom or a human to tell me where anything in this large building is. I let out a loud scream/groan of frustration.

"Gah! Hello? Can anybody tell me where a bathroom is?"

A strange voice comes out of nowhere. "There is a restroom down the hall to the left."

I turn around. No one is there. Weird. Maybe it's like a mapping system because this place is massive.

At supper that night, I ask Tony about the mapping system in the walls. He looks very confused.

"Oh, do you mean Jarvis?"

The voice comes on again. "At your service, sir."

"Jarvis is Stark towers computing system. Stands for just a rather very intelligent system. If you ever need anything just ask Jarvis. Her system works throughout the entire building. What grade are you in?"

The next morning, Tony drives up to a school that looks far too large. There's a sign that says in large letters "Midtown High School of Science and Technology". Ugh, why do I have to go back to sophomore year? My homeschool courses allowed me to basically be into sophomore year of college.

"Ok kiddo, I already talked to your principal. She's got you all set up so just kill it in your classes."

"Wow, so motivational. Do you give pump up speeches often?"

Tony glares. He's not the only one who can have sass in the Tower. Life would get a bit boring if he was the only one.

I walk into the building and everybody is buzzing around. I pull out my camera and capture the moment. A bell rings and everybody vanishes into rooms. I should probably be joining them but I have no idea where my classes or what they even are. Great start.

I somehow find my way to the front office. The secretary gives me a list of my classes and locker number. Up first is chemistry. Not bad.

I walk into the classroom and all eyes immediately turn to me. I give a small wave before looking at the teacher.

"Hello, I'm new here."

"Nice to meet you New Here." Everybody in the room groans. This teacher really needs to work on his terrible dad jokes. "I'm Mr. Cobwell. Why don't you find a seat." He glances around the room. "Ah, Mr. Parker, it looks like you need  lab partner."

I'm ushered over to the open seat. The kid next to me is pretty cute. He's got brown hair that looks a little disheveled and big brown eyes. Hopefully, he's not just looks. I don't want to be stuck as the only one doing projects.

"Hi, I'm MJ."

We shake hands.

"I'm Peter."

Our project is to find the Ksp of hydroxide. Pretty simple. Just some basic stoich and the project will be done. Peter and I have finished the assignment within thirty minutes. Everybody else is struggling through the basic steps.

"Should we help them?" I ask Peter.

He looks around and shakes his head.

"Lab write up then?"

He nods his head. This Peter Parker kid must be pretty shy. I'll have to find some way to get him out of his shell. I can't stand being partners with someone who is incapable of getting off topic. Classes are no fun without something unrelated.

"So Peter, what do you do for fun around here?"

"I'm a part of the academic decathlon team."

A girl next me leans over, "He's also an intern for Tony Stark."

My eyes light up. So I won't be the only teenager in the building. Sweet. Before I get to ask more questions, the bell rings and he's out of the classroom quickly.
