Chapter 1: The Beginning

    “OHHH” said mother “JAMES” thumping her paws up the stairs. She slammed the door open, I jumped up, “yes mother do you need something form me?” I said while thinking,she knows about the cow, my sister told her. As I pulled a shirt over my head and put in on. Mother was filled with anger her face was red and teeth showing. “You thought tipping that cow was funny so funny, good thing your sister told me your father. But the cow lost her calf. So you are going to sell your stuff!” She held up a wooden sword “ maybe old this thing you never use it.” Mother said “ no mother” taking from her hand he continued “ I will become a squire and then a knight, mother I promise no more cow tipping” I know I had the look of determination on my face. I tripped and land flat on my face, mother rolled eyes, then she walked out. Then I quietly closed the door “ I wish I could become a knight to make you proud.” Then I plopped myself on my bed then my said my prayers. I relaxed closed my eyes and fell asleep.

        “James” mother said “can you came down here please” I had drag myself out of bed and saw my sister was still asleep no wonder she could sleep through an avalanche just mother but she is only ten years old . Gwendalyn  looks like my mom white fur coat, blue  eyes like crystals, and a black nose. But me I look like my great grandpa I have black coat, one blue eye, one red eye, and a black nose. So for my father he looks a boring gray wolf with a temper. “James” said mother once more and it her get down here voice I had ran out of our room and down the stairs. There they were Mother was making eggs,grits, biscuit, and pancakes. Father stood looking outside “ James I have a job for you, to go to midlie, and to deliver this package to the police house. You are sixteen years old, can you handle yourself.” Said dad “ yes father I can!” He continued “ now go eat, and get your sword. Make sure not to wake your sister!” Mother turned around holding a plate. “ Here, James make me proud, and we love you” mother said. I heard little paws down the stairs “ mother I want to go” as Gwendalyn tumbled down the stairs and saying it grogley. She continued “ I want to have a adventure. I want to have fun” father picked her up and told her “you could get hurt, no you can't go.” Father said playing with her nose. “Father stop” she said, biting at the air. Father was mad but he just shrugged. “Well James you should get going” as father hold back her trying to pull her back. “ Bye mother I love you, bye mother I love you” as I kissed mother and had turned away.

As I walked away I looked back memories flood my mind as I walked up the dirt roadgot to protect this package for father I thought as i walked. “ Hi Jamesimsam” old man junmy said “ Hi junmy, how are you this week?” I said with fake smile. “ I am fine, how are you young laid?” said junmy with a smile all his six teeth. “ I am doing fine wh-”, junmy stopped me in mid sentence. “What are you doing right now?” he said. “Oh I must get going we'll have a nice day junmy!” I said walking away.

 As I was walking I looked at all the sereny. I hear a noise, I had known that this was a bandit territory, so I walk faster. Then a bandit gang had came up to me and said “well look what we got here a new guy, you what we do to new guys around here?” He started to pull out his dagger out, then I had pulled out my sword and had said holding out my sword “ if you don’t run now you’ll be sorry!” They had ran They knowe I met business and that I am tough. I thought as I kept walking.

I had came to the bridge and it was getting dark so I made a camp. When I had started the fire I was starting to get hungry, so I started to pull out my fishing pole and my bait. “ Hhhh I kinda miss when i was young.” I said as I was looking in the river. “ I have never been out this far from home, at least by myself. Wounder what is going to happen tomorrow. I think I got a bite!” I realed a bass in. “ Mmmm that was so good. I love fish.” I started to fall asleep.
