After Cole had patched Dalton up and gave him medicine, which made Dalton's pain subside thankfully to only a few dull aches. He thanked Cole and then settled back down on his bed, but he felt awkward just lying there in silence with Cole at the foot of the bed, staring at the floor.

Cole sat there blankly, and Dalton assumed he was thinking about something painful, because he could see that his eyebrows were knotted and his lips were pressed together. He didn't know what to say, or if he should ay anything at all, so he laid there, motionless.

The brunette sighed before speaking up, "You can spend the night if you'd like. I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind."

"Okay, but, could you not tell them...why?"

"Um...sure. I'll tell them we're working on a project or something. But won't your parents wonder where you are?" He asked

"I'lll just text them to let em know. It's fine." Dalton answered

After that, Dalton drifted off to sleep, not even eating the dinner that Cole's mom had made. She was very insistent, and nearly woke him up, but Cole stopped her. He looked too cute sleeping, and needed his rest.

When it came time for Cole to head off to bed, he hesitated. Should he...get in bed with Dalton??

The couch wasn't very comfortable, and they had no other spare beds in the house so...that looked like it was his only option here. Fine.

He slipped into pajama pants and a big t-shirt and snuggled in bed next to Dalton.

They were so close. It was taking every inch of self control Cole had to not cuddle up to the blonde. He looked so adorable and innocent when he was sleeping, he didn't look sad. His cheeks were a slight tinge of pink and is dyed blonde hair had long fallen flat, but it looked better that way, Cole thought. Made him look younger. Cuter.

Cole shamed himself for wanted to kiss the sleeping boy right now, but he just was so...unexplainably amazing.

He soon realized that watching Dalton sleep maybe wasn't the most normal thing in the world, and he rolled over to face the wall so he wouldn't be tempted.

The morning was weird.

Dalton woke up sore and hungry, next to some boy.

He almost freaked out before he realized he was 1) still fully clothed, and 2) that boy was Cole, and he had taken care of him after he got beat up yesterday. So that's why he was sore. He figured he'd be used to it by now.

Soon after, Cole woke up next to him and smiled. It was a sleeply smile and his hair was all ruffled up from tossing and turning in his sleep.

It was downright adorable, Dalton thought.

They both went downstairs and ate breakfast, with Cole's mom commenting every few seconds how Dalton sure was asleep last night, and she was sure he was hungry. He refused to much food and ended up eating 2 pieces of toast and some scrambled eggs.

Eventually they both headed off to school, and parted ways as Cole was soon swabbed by his group of friends asking why he left so early yesterday

Cole had gotten his lunch and he decided that today, today was the day he was going to sit with Dalton. He had seen him sitting by himself before, and wanted to go up to him, but he was too nervous. He was always afraid that Dalton wouldn't like him, but today was different. The blonde walked over to where Dalton usually sat, but he wasn't there. Cole glanced around and didn't see him anywhere.

He decided there was only one other place he could be sitting, so Cole wandered outside to the empty courtyard and when he stepped outside, the cold air hit him immediately. It was so cold outside, that nobody would be crazy enough to sit out here. He was about to give up and go back inside when he spotted a black figure sitting out of view from everything and everybody.
