CHAPTER 11 FINALLY!! might be da end
_______________________________
Gray walked out of the house and closed the door. He wandered through the forest, looking at the scenery before actually trying to find James.
After a few minutes of wandering, he found a big bush of blueberries. His eyes lit up at the blue berries because they reminded him of Juvia. Maybe Juvia would like these. He began to pick the big and juicy blue berries, eating a couple before gathering them in his pockets. A low growl was heard close by before he could fill one pocket all the way up. It got louder and louder and it seemed to be moving closer to Gray. He turned around, his curiosity getting the better of him.
Gray eventually realized that the low growling was his stomach.
He shrugged it off and started picking the berries. His mouth was full of them and he never knew how much berries he ate, forgetting to save some for Juvia.
Another growl was heard, but it was louder than last time. Gray just thought it was his stomach again, so he again shrugged it off and continued dining on the berries.
A few seconds had passed before the growl got louder, eventually growing to become a full roar that blew him forward towards the bush.
Gray froze, wondering what animal it is. He slowly turned around, awaiting the beast that roared. Gray quickly turned around and looked up, preparing to face the beast. His eyes were met with sunlight and trees. Nothing was there.
"Huh? Then... what made that noise?" Gray said slowly. He turned back around, not worried yet aware and continued eating, but heard the same roar again, but louder and it blew with more force.
Gray flew forward into the bushes, blueberries splattering everywhere. "What was that?!" Gray yelled and crawled away from the beast's roar.
He turned and looked down to see nothing but a little baby cub. "You made that noise?" Gray asked it, questioning his sanity.
He must have been really lost his sanity because Gray saw it shake its head. "If you didn't make it, then ... who did?"
He regretted ever saying that. There was a pounding of footsteps, big footsteps, that was coming closer to Gray.
A mother bear came from behind the trees and out of the shadows. "Uh... oh... umm... yo mama bear I'm Gray nice to meet you but I gotta go now bye!" Gray said quickly and ran just as fast as he spoke.
The bear was big enough to take down trees as she ran. Eventually, it caught up to Gray and tackled him down. Before she could get a hold of Gray's face, she froze and landed right on top of Gray.
"Ooff."
"Seems like you're in a tight situation," James approached the fallen bear that has fallen on Gray. "Well, at least you didn't die."
He quickly pushed the bear aside only a few inches over so that Gray could shimmer his way out. "Ha, no problem there. I could have taken her on myself," Gray said and shrugged off all the fur on his clothes.
"Let's get going. You seem like bigfoot now," James laughed and walked passed Gray as he scowled at James. "At least you didn't kill her. She has a family to take care of."
"Yeah. I guess so," Gray had thought of his family at Fairy Tail, wondering what he would do without them.
On the way home, they heard a scream. "That was on the way to the house! Juvia!" Gray sprinted down the forest towards the scream. "Onee-chan!" James yelled behind Gray.
They entered the house to see no one in the kitchen. "Juvia?!" Gray yelled through the house. "Gray-sama!" Juvia's voice rang in the house. James ran into Juvia's room to see her standing on her bedside table.
"Juvia? What's wrong?" Gray said relived that Juvia isn't hurt. "R...r-r-r...rrr-r" Juvia stuttered in complete fear.
"What Onee-chan?" James said impatiently.
"RATS!!" Juvia finally spit it out. "Rats? That was it?" James and Gray said in unison.
"Eeech!! It's right there!" Juvia said, pointing near the table. "Ice-make Tiny Shield!" Gray chanted and the rat was surrounded.
James picked up the rat cage and threw it out the door. "There, all done" James said, cleaning his hands. "Arigato" Juvia sighed and went back into the house, stumbling.
"So, Gray why were you out in the forest?" James asked, sitting at the kitchen table.
"Oh, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to join a guild I'm in. Since you're a water mage, I think you'll fit in just fine with the others" Gray smiled as he said his offer.
"Well, that would be great, but what will Juvia do?" James asked hesitamtly. "Juvia joined the guild, but left. So why don't both of you go. It would be nice to have one like you at the guild." Gray explained.
"Wow, that really is great! When can we join?"
"You can join whenever you feel is comfortable"
"Then let's get going!"
