"Kara no!" Oliver shouted as the Kryptonite arrow hit Kara in the stomach, and she collapsed on the ground.
He heard Prometheus laugh, and Oliver turned on him, wanting to strangle him to death. He looked back to Kara, who was gasping for breath. "Ollie..." She murmured, putting her hand on his cheek.
"Kara, you're not going to die on me! No! Don't close your eyes!" Oliver was begging her to stay awake.
"Will you sing to me?" She asked.
It was a simple request, and she knew he wasn't much of a singer, but he choked out the words of the song that Kara sang to William when he had a nightmare.
The other night dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head and cried
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away
He couldn't even finish the whole song. Kara smiled up at him, and gently rubbed his cheek with her thumb. "Thank you..."
She closed her eyes, and within minutes, her chest stopped gently rising and falling, and her body was cold.
Oliver let tears fall down his face and the tip of his nose.
He looked down at the body of Kara, and kissed her.
He rose, grabbing an arrow out of his quiver.
He shot it at Prometheus, blind with rage and grief, hoping it hit.
