Paradot's Machine

Chapter 1

》Lapis was sitting quietly in the back of the truck watching the tv. She was half asleep laying comfortably on a bean bag chair. Suddenly her sleep was interrupted by a loud shreek.

"LAPIS!" Paridot was screaming down below. He continued to call her name till she got up.

"I'm comming" she huffed leaping down and landing infront of Paridot. The green gem was grinning ear to ear and shaking with the joy of her discovery. "Well?"

"Rose may have been on to something. I think I've found a way to create new gems without a kindergarden!" She shreeked with her voice cracking.

"Paridot... Steven is part human." Lapis grumbled and looked away while crossing her arms. "And! His gem isn't new. It was Rose Quartz's gem." She continued.

"I know, I know!" Paridot groaned tilting her head. "But I think I've fixed that. I just need your help for an experiment."

"What do you need me for?!" Lapis yelped throwing her hands up.

"I need your gem" Paridot said looking past Lapis for a moment. "What do you say?"

"Wha-!" The blue gem paused. "Alright..." She huffed only to find herself poofed a few moments later.

"Thank you Steven" Paridot said picking up the blue gem and bubbling it. "Don't worry Lapis it's safe."

Steven stood a few steps behind where the blue gem was standing a few moments before. He forced a smile on his face through his consern.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" Steven asked as they approached Paridots machine.

"If human reproduction has taught me anything then if I put both of our gems into this then it should create a new one!" Paridot shreeked with stars in her eyes. "Now...poof me!" She shouted dropping Lapis into the machine.

"I don't think that's how it works Paridot... Dad told me-" Steven began only to be cut off by Paridot.

"I KNOW!" She shreeked. "Just trust me!" She huffed leaning her head down for Steven to poof her.

"Ok Paridot." Steven said summoning his sheild.

"Steven. Don't open the machine for 1 month. No matter what. I mean unless something goes wrong" the green gem laughed nervously as a bead of sweat rolled down her head.

"Will do!" Steven said bringing her sheild down on Paridot. She poofed and her gem droped to the ground with a tink.

And with that, Steven placed in both gems and flipped the switch to on. There was a bright light and then a loud mechanical noise.

"See you in a month" Steven froun and sat down watching the machine...
