one year later

loren's pov;

"malu, Harvey's coming," i shouted to my roommate, my best friend, my hoe for life.

malu smith.

the two years have been one hell of a rollercoaster. from the miscarriage to avery and Maggie, malu has been through so much.

Harvey now, my boyfriend, is coming over. we both decided it would be a great idea to go back to school.

i try to make life as great as possible for me and malu. i sound like such a mom but it's really hard.

after she didn't recognize joey, the doctors put her to sleep after she started to have a panic attack and she forgot about seeing him in the hospital. i know it was wrong to take that memory from her, but it was for the best.

it's also hard when people mention past events to her and she doesn't know what's going on. i want to tell her everything. the baby, the coma, the stabbing. everything.

but her aunt thinks that if she knows, it won't be good. she'll want to know more and more, and eventually it'll lead to joey. especially if we talk about the baby and the coma.

malus mom despises joey because she thinks he caused this entire fiasco, but he's been okay as far as i heard from Charles and Harvey.

he got a girlfriend who i heard is very pretty, but i know he misses malu. it's inevitable. everyone knows it, but him.

he's in love with her; he always will be

he still loves her, and he wants her to love him back.

but she can't.

so he stopped trying.

but he just wants her to remember him.
