Chapter 6

I finally opened my eyes and it dawned upon me that I was Jinju, and that I was being shaken back and forth. I lifted my head up, still not quite sure what was happening and looked to my side. I moved my head so suddenly, Daehwi had no time to react and I felt something soft brush against my lips and we both froze, staring at each other. He was close enough to kiss, and my mind put together the pieces. Heat washed over my cheeks and embarrassment crept up my back. 

Did we just accidentally kiss each other?

It was at this moment, the boys chose to come back. There was a moment of aghast silence, with the other members standing in the doorways, gaping at the scene before them.

Oh, crud.

Daehwi and I leapt apart and I hurried to explain the situation.

"I - it's not what it looks like! I just fell asleep and Daehwi was waking me up. It was all an accident!"

"She's right!" Daehwi said, "Nothing happened!"

The members slowly came through the door, looking like they did not believe in what we just said. Some of them looked suspicious at what we said, while others gave knowing smirks at Daehwi.

" I - I didn't mean to k - " I glanced at Daehwi as I tried to explain myself but seeing him just made me more embarrassed and my heart thumped louder. I gave out a small frustrated scream and ran to my room, escaping all the boys. I jumped onto my bed and screamed into a pillow.

Oh my gosh I just kissed Daehwi! Why is my heart beating so loudly? Do I like him? No way, I've only known him for a short time. Yeah, I don't like him. There's no way.

After composing myself, I went back out. After all, there were still chores that I had to do. Thankfully, it seemed like all the boys went back to their rooms, so no one was out in the living room or kitchen area. 

I went back into maid mode, and started doing the household chores. Laundry, cleaning, etc. Slowly, the day passed by, and night came. There was still an awkward atmosphere between everyone because of what happened earlier today, but none of the us brought it back up again. 

As I was washing the dishes from dinner, the water pressure suddenly got weaker.

Someone must be taking a shower. It's so hard to wash the dishes like this. 

Nevertheless, I continued scrubbing the dishes and eventually finished the task. After putting all the plates and bowls on a drying rack, I dried my hands on a hand towel and went to my room to relax. I plopped onto my bed, and went on my phone to check if I had any new texts from Cheesesti - no, Yeongsoo. When I saw that there were no new texts, I felt a little disappointed. 

Wait, why do I feel disappointed? He's a friend.

Laying on my bed, I checked Instagram to see if there was anything new. 

Ah, that's right! I need to take a shower today. 

I strained to hear if the shower was still being used, and after confirming that the shower was now empty, I quickly grabbed some clothes and headed to the bathroom.

The bathroom was still steamy from the previous shower, and I quickly undressed, got in the shower and turned it on. The warm water felt really good, and I proceeded to wet my hair so I could shampoo it. 

Suddenly, I heard a click as the door opened. 

Oh no! Did I forget to lock the bathroom door?

"You're still in here Jihoon? You've been showering for like an hour already" said a deep voice.

That voice. It was definitely Jinyoung. I internally screamed. How was I gonna get out of this situation?

"I'm so tired, I've been playing games the entire day after our workout in the morning. I really want to raise my tier in Overwatch but it's harder than I thought it would be."

He continued to talk about his gaming adventures as he started to brush his teeth. I was amazed at how much he was talking, since he was usually quiet and reserved. He finished brushing his teeth, and I sighed in relief. He was finally leaving! But instead of going out of the bathroom, he stayed in the same spot, and I could hear him looking for something. 

"Hey, have you seen my face wash? I can't find it," he asked.

He paused, as if he was thinking and I felt my blood run cold. 

This isn't good, did he realize that I'm the one in the shower?

"I think one of the members must've used it in the shower. I'm going to open the shower curtain really quick to look for it. Just turn around and face the wall. I don't want to see your - uh, little guy. Don't worry, I'll be fast."

I saw his figure on the other side move closer towards the shower. He grabbed one end of the shower curtain and started opening it.

Oh no, what do I do!
