I just wanted to thank everyone for the interest you are taking in my story! This is going to be a very long novel/fan fiction of mine, and I plan to continue it as often as I can for a very long time. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I am enjoying writing. This is just a short introductory chapter to the extensive one that I am publishing next. Enjoy<3

The events from the previous morning left Salem in a state of both lust and confusion. Ameliville was a town nearly secluded of any gothic people, so the man stuck out to her like a small light in a bat cave. She felt a thirst to spot him again.

Salem returned to the coffee shop numerous times throughout the week. Not a single sighting to be had. Was he even real, or just a figment of her imagination?

Her black heels clicked loudly against the tile floor of Ghoulish Magazine's main office as she made her way to the pathetic little makeshift cubicle she recieved in return of being an intern. Her job was to review the many stories that came her way, and to make Ms. Mae a fresh coffee upon her ever-so-constant request.

A pile of mail laid upon Salem's tiny desk. She lifted the letters from the tabletop and shifted through each one. "You have won a cruise for two across the blue seas" Puke. "Save with these free coupons!"  Who cares?

And then she saw it.

It was an ivory envelope with "Salem" etched in caligraphy in black on the front. She flipped it over to reveal a black candle wax closing. Who could have written this? She slowly peeled the letter open.

"Salem, your elegance and beauty is enticing. You are simply irresistable.

Join me at the Enstrange at eleven this evening "

It was signed with a mere "X." The letter confused Salem. Should she trust the invitation from an unidentified stranger? Most would say no. However, she was not like most women, and she was far too curious to see the author behind the letter. "To the Enstrange night club" is all Salem could say.
