klaus when he's talking to hope about you. hope knew that her mother and her father didn't exactly love each other, she knew about the weird & kinda messed up situation where her mom was actually in love with her uncle, and she knew about y/n and klaus.
"do you love y/n?" hope blurted out as she and klaus sat on the balcony.
klaus looked at her, "hope, do you even know what love is?" he asked with a smile on his face.
"yes, mommy told me it's when you really really like someone and when you would do anything to protect them. just like i love you." she said in her soft, tender voice.
the hybrid looked down at his hands as he fiddled with a flower hope had given him earlier, he smiled at the image of you that popped into his mind.
he looked up at hope, nodding at her question.
"well, yes i do love y/n. and i also love you." he responded, reaching his hands over and tickling his daughter's sides.
hope laughed while she told him to stop.
there was silence for a minute before hope spoke again, "i like y/n, i hope you marry her." she exclaimed making klaus chuckle.
