You walked into the library to find something new to read. You had recently finished reading the Warriors series by Erin Hunter and have been wanting to look for something different.
As you looked through the many bookshelves you spotted a familiar face.
"Of course he would be here." You said in your head and smiled making your way to the bone with his face buried in a book.
"Hiya Fone~" You said softly, trying not to startle him, but with no success. He flinched but calmed down when he saw it was just you.
"Oh H-h'lo miss (Y-y/n)." Fone quietly stuttered, blushing a bit.
"Whatcha reading?" You asked him, although you already knew the answer. You've always were kinda interested in Moby Dick but just never got around to reading it.
"Oh, just Moby Dick for the Fifth time." He shyly said as he scratched his cheek softly.
"Wanna read me some?" You asked.
"You promise you won't fall asleep?" He asked back. Everyone knows that if Fone ever tries to read Moby Dick to anyone somehow they would always fall asleep.
"Promise!" You agreed.
He looked a little nervous but went back to the beginning and started to read not to loud but just enough for you to hear.
As you listened to his voice for a few paragraphs your eyes slowly shut, as he glanced at you he sighed and attempted to wake you up.
"(Y/n)... You said you weren't gonna fall asleep on me!"
"I wasn't sleeping." You said opening your eyes.
"Then what were you doing?" Fone asked as he looked confused.
"Whenever I'm listening to someone else read I like to close my eyes and imagine the scene in my head." You explained.
"Oh! I've never even thought to try that!" Fone said as he put down the book.
"Here try it, I'll take over." You said as you shifted the book on the table towards you.
After a short pause you began reading, Fone closed his eyes and imagined the story in his head.
Sentences turned to paragraphs, paragraphs turned to pages, and pages turned to Chapters. It wasn't long before you were nearly halfway done the book.•@•@•@•
The afternoon quickly became the evening before you noticed how dark it was getting outside.
"Oh, wow is it already that late?!" You exclaimed setting the book down. Fone looked up and saw the evening sky as well.
"Whoa! I should be getting home soon!" He said as he began to go through his bag, making sure he had everything.
"Here Fone. I enjoyed reading it more than I thought I would!" You smiled as you handed him his book.
"Thanks (Y/n) I'm glad you like it. Maybe we can do this again sometime?" He suggested.
"You would really want to read sometime again?" You asked a little disbelief in your tone.
"Of coarse! You just showed me a brand new way to experience my favourite book! I would love to hear your voice tell the rest of the story as well!" He said with enthusiasm.
"Well I guess I'm free on the weekend?" You said.
"Prefect!" Fone said as he walked around the table to hug you.
"We should probably head out huh? The library closing in a few minuets." You suggested. Fone released you and you both headed towards the exit.
"It was really great to see you again too miss (Y/n)." Fone said ever so gently.
"You too, also just (Y/n) is fine." You corrected.
As you both started heading in opposite directions. You said your farewells to each other.
"Bye Fone Bone! See ya on the weekend." You called out.
He waved as he watched you walk around the corner before speaking up again.
"Goodnight... (Y/n)..." he said to himself with a sweet smile and blushed as he turned and made his way home.
