Chapter 1

Narrator
'Ugh... Summer school...' you think. "Ok honey, here we are". "K dad love you bye..." "Have a good day and be good... love you." You get out and take your f/c backpack. You enter the two yellow doors and turn around to wave to your dad. When he leaves, you hear a loud voice that startles you. "Oh hi! Welcome to my schoolhouse!" You jump and turn around to see a very tall man wearing a green long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. You stare up at him blankly and he stares back at you blankly. He bends down to you and says, "Class will begin soon..." you nod and try to go through the yellow doors that lead to the hallway. "You need to find two notebooks before you can use these doors" the man says. The bell rings and the man says "Follow me". So you do. He enters a door with the number '99' on it. You sit down at a desk and there are a few other people. A boy tries to pass you a note, but the man slaps a ruler on his desk and says "No notes", in a deathly voice that makes your spine shiver. "Hello everyone, my name is Baldi. I'm going to be your teacher for this year. Just call me Mr. Baldi." He says in his usual cheerful tone. "Now it's time for everybody's favourite subject, math!" You think, 'Uh oh...I am so dead...'. "Question 1: 5+7=?" You think to yourself, 'Those questions are easy!' You raise your hand. "Yes, Y/n..." "It's 12". "Good job! Come and get your prize! A shiny quarter! When you find something you can use it on, place it in! That's how you use items here, ya know" Baldi says cheerfully. You get up and take the quarter out of Baldi's hand. You go back to your seat and Baldi asks two more questions. "Y/n, I would like to see you in this classroom when class is done..." Baldi interrupts in the middle of his questions. You shiver at the thought of what he will do. Will he slap you with the ruler? Will he give you a boring lecture about math? Detention? All these questions raced through your mind, after all, you did nothing wrong. Until Baldi asked you, "Y/n answer Question 3: 4-7=?" He said eager to hear your response. You said, "-3..." "GREAT JOB!!! COME HERE AND GET YOUR PRIZE!!! A SHINY QUARTER!!!" He yelled so loud everyone had plugged their ears. So you got up again and gently grabbed the quarter. As you were doing that you were looking up at Baldi...until you realized he was...was...being nervous...and...blushing. When you realized he was blushing you swiftly grabbed the quarter and quickly got back to your seat and put your f/c notebook to your face. Everyone was looking at Baldi like 'OMG...'. Baldi slapped his ruler against his desk and said, "G-get b-back to work e-everyone!" Everyone looked down at their notebooks and stared at the pages.

The bell rang and everyone got out...except you. You sat at my desk in embarrassment remembering the one look he gave you...how he blushed at you...you felt really really really embarrassed. Baldi suddenly broke the silence and said, "Lest go for a walk in the hallway. We can talk there." You nod and follow Baldi out of the classroom. You go in the hallway and awkwardly walk around the school. "So Baldi, what do you think about this ship I made! It's Sylveon X Umbreon!" You force yourself to say. "It sounds cool!" Baldi replies in his normal cheerful voice. Suddenly, someone eavesdropping behind you says, "I ship it...SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP!!!" It's none other than the 'janitor' Gotta sweep. He sweeps you and Baldi around the school and you scream, "AHHHHHHHH!!!" "Gotta sweep, please stop sweeping us..." Baldi says. "OK BUT ITS SWEEPIN' TIME!!!" Gotta sweep replies and sweeps away in the cafeteria . You sigh in relief and the principle comes and says "No screaming in the hall" "15 seconds" "Detention for you" "When will you leaaarnnn???" Great. You're in detention now. Baldi waits for you outside and when the 15 seconds are done you slip out of detention. You sigh in relief and go back to class with Baldi. You sit at you're desk and Baldi nervously stares at his ruler that he uses to teach...and slap things with. You look down at your f/c notebook and start doing math equations in it. After a few minutes have passed, Baldi says, "Ok class! Time for everybody's favourite subject, math!" 'Oh Baldi...' you think to yourself. You stare at Baldi and study every single move he does, NOT THAT IT MEANS ANY WEIRD BUISNESS!... Anyway, you stare at Baldi, and eventually he catches your eye and stops talking immediately. You quickly look down at your desk, and he just stares at you for a while. Then he goes back to talking again.

Baldi finishes talking and the day is over. You head to your dorm with your two new friends, a kid named Jack and Daisy. Daisy asks you, "Do you think Baldi likes you, Y/n?" You reply swiftly, "NO." "O-ok..." Daisy says. Jack confronts you, "Don't worry. Baldi might be weird, but don't take it that way, Y/n". You look down and say, "Yea, I guess you're right.." you sigh and don't sleep that night. All you can think about is what happened that day. What happened with the janitor, what happened with the principle, and what happened with Baldi. You decide to shrug it off the next morning. You and your friends play with Playtime, the skipping rope girl in the school. You take turns doing 5 skips. The bell rings, and you smile. Today is going to be good.
