"... I might as well tell this secret to someone other then Lucinda..."

Your P.O.V:
You wiped some of the tears off your face before you continued to talk. "Look Travis... this is something that nobody knows about except for me and Lucinda... so you cannot talk to  ANYONE about this except for Lucinda. Got it?"

He nodded so you continued. "I only remember some pieces of the ending of my story... so if you want to find out what happened to me while I was out, you'll have to ask Lucinda to tell you because she's one of the only people that remember what happened while I was out."

Travis looked at you and you saw that he was crying lightly. You reached up to his face and wiped the tears on his face before you continued. "My father abused me and my mother for about 15 and a half years. If we did something he didn't like... he would beat us."

You paused because you started to choke from trying to talk while you were starting to cry again from remembering these things bits by bits. You took a deep breath and continued. "He even beat my mother before I was born. Apparently when my parents found out I was a girl, my dad wasn't very happy about it. So he started beating my mom in hopes he would kill me."

You paused again and gave your self a minute to breath before starting back up. "He felt bad about beating my mom after words and would go to bars to try and get it off his mind. He would come home drunk and beat my mom some more."

"When I was born this became an every day thing for my mom. My dad refused to beat a baby so he didn't start beating me until I was about two. During the times before he started beating me, I would stay with my older brother Nathan while that happened."

"He kind of filled in for the father part to me. It was the same routine every night after my second birthday. Beat my mom, go to a bar come back and yell at her for something he didn't like her doing and then take that anger out on me."

You rolled your eyes remembering how stupid your dad was. "So one day when I was about 15 I went down stairs to get some water. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom and dad fighting. My dad looked at me and told me to go up to my room."

"Being the stupid child I was, I challenged him. He started beating me but it didn't hurt because of a medication that Lucinda's mom gave me..."

You were slightly laughing at the thought of what happened in that minute of time. "His attempts to harm me got more aggressive and he was getting extremely angry and it got to the point where it just became too much to hold back a laugh and I broke out in a laughing fit."

"I remember saying 'oh Irene this is too good' and then my dad left to go get something..." You went quiet remembering what that thing was. "You okay Hana?" You giggled lightly at the nickname.

"What did he got to grab?" You went pale and tears pricked the edge of your eyes. He looked at you and pulled you into a tight hug. It felt like he would never let go. "Its okay Hana I've got you... you want to continue? You don't have to, if you don't want to."

You nodded your head saying you would continue. "In the t-time I had, I grabbed m-my mom... a-and took her to my brother Nathan's room. I talked to Nathan and his girlfriend at the time and decided that me and mom would hide in there... until..."

You started to cry again but tried to choke up some words. "W-we h-heard a l-loud noise and m-my dad c-came in the room a-and s-shot m-my m-m-mom..." You couldn't take it any more and started balling your eyes out as you wrapped your arms tightly around Travis' torso.

After you calmed down a little bit you finished your story. "Then he shot me... I played dead after the first shot. I was fine for a bit because of the medication. He walked out of the room and somewhere else.

I think we were in the kitchen at that time because I ran somewhere because I was scared before he did that. After I knew he was upstairs I ran to the front door and to Lucinda's house in hopes to get help."

He looked shocked just like you had imagined. "When I got there this boy that looked around my age maybe a little older opened the door. He called for Lucinda's mom and brought me inside."

"He explained to me that he was staying with Lucinda and them for family reasons. He kept me company the whole time I was there. He didn't give me his actual name but he told me to call him 'T' so I did..."

"It's funny because he kind of looked like a child version of you Travis." You were smiling at the warm memories of the things you and 'T' did.

You looked up at Travis and he was shocked. "Travis you good buddy?" He looked down at you and let go of you so he could look at your face more clear. "A-ally that's really you?"
